Does a tournament count as "one" game? I believe the Dec. 29 and 30 and Jan. 2 games are for a holiday tournament. If not, I'll keep checking for a schedule update. Thanks.

I think the games of 11/21 & 11/22 aren't official games. Bylaw 511.00 covers this--the first practice is the 17th Monday preceding the State Tournament finals, so that would be 11/10.

From Bylaw 511.00:

"Two weeks of organized practice shall precede the first game except when Thanksgiving occurs during the second week of organized practice. In that event, a game may be scheduled and played on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving."

So the first official game would occur on or after 11/24, unless my calendar skills went AWOL.

Your calendar skills are right on. Not sure why the season starts earlier than the bylaws state.

Generally, in most sports, the MSHSL allows a games to be played at the end of the second week of practice, with a week being considered monday through friday.

Many sports will have their first games on the second Thursday of the season. Been that way as far back as I can remember.

It will be great to have one of the quality programs back at Hodgins-Berardo Arena. It's been a long time. Used to be one of the toughest arenas for a visiting team to try and get a win. Hope Greenway can keep it out of running time and be competitive for a while.
