I know there was a few threads last year and I also
know it's still a little early, but was just wondering about
14A teams.
Any early season highlights? Teams dominating to start
the year? Scores? Was this year a big year for HS's
needing girls?
Thanks and discuss.

Re: U14A updates/scores
In District 10, early on it looks like Blaine is team to beat. Though they have no returners from last year, they're having good early season success. They have a couple from 14B's, then almost their entire 12A-Blue roster from last year, along with one from the 12A-White team. Beyond that, we'll have to see how Andover, Anoka, Centennial, and Elk River come together. SLP and CP/Rogers are having rough starts.NE14HKY wrote:I know there was a few threads last year and I also

-Andover is mix of returners with 3-4 from 12A, 3-4 from 12B, and one from last year's Elk River 12A team. Note: 6 potential 14A's were a part of the 12A FL co-op and are now on FL's JV or Varsity teams.
-Anoka has 8 moving up from 12A, one 12B, and 3-4 returners.
-Centennial lost many to JV or private, including last year's 12A goalie. But they still bring in 6-7 from 12A's, a few from the 12B-Red team, with a couple returners.
-Elk River brings in 9 from their 12A team, and 3 from Princeton's 12A's.
Seeing I started this thread, I guess I should add to it.
I always like hearing, during the year, metro teams going
north and Northern teams coming down to the metro. Heard
from a friend that Roseau's 14A team was in town last weekend,
and played 4 very good teams.
Friday they tied a tough Woobury/Cottage Grove team. Back and
forth game with both teams having the lead at some point.
Then Sat. played one of the top teams in the metro, Blaine.
Solid-Solid game (which I'm told. Though I would've loved
to be at the SR to see), won by Blaine 2-1.
Roseau beat Stillwater later Sat. evening and then rounded out
Sun. by beating another tough opponent Buffalo.
Good weekend mixing North and Metro teams!
If anyone has more info on these games, please chime in.

We came down and played Anoka to a 2-2 tie and beat Andover 4-3 last weekend. All three teams missing some players so tough to tell much but they were great games.
In early December we lost to Elk River 5-2 and OMGHA 5-2. Been a tough year for us having all players there and healthy. Girls are all 1st year 14U's including a first timer ever skating and a 12U goalie so it's been fun.
Going to be in Rogers on Sat Jan 12th for a late 8:45 game, would like to pick up another game during the day - anywhere in the cities would be fine. Let me know if anyone is interested.
