Detroit Lakes' senior, Alex Mason with an incredible shorthanded goal against Bagley on 2/10

Agreed.

He could give Troy Polamalu a run for his money as Head and Shoulders' spokesman.

Awesome goal by the way.

Alex Mason is Native American. The hair is part of his culture.

Does he have some college interests?
I've seen him play, serious speed and now he's 220 pounds?

I've seen Lacrosse-style goals before, but they are usually from behind the net at slow speed or in skills competitions. I've never seen a goal like that at full-speed, in-game, and straight in on a breakaway. I'm impressed.

Here's an article from Yahoo. It includes a nice video of Alex explaining his Native American traditions and his plans to possibly play Canadian juniors.

That was a sweet goal but after watching the dancing video I was more impressed with his personality. I wish him the best of luck in what ever he does.

I agree, that would have to make their top 10. Better than 99% of all the garbage dunks they show.

Does anyone know if this made it on there?

Friction tape.

The comments on that page are laughable. They all think this kid is the next Gretzky or something but he plays for DL. I looked at their schedule it is a complete joke. But nevertheless, one of the best goals I've ever seen.

I'd say it's more about the creativity of the shot that gets me because most of the top high school players would be able to do this. Hopefully we see more goals like this in the future.

They talk about him going DI (he could probably play USHL or similar leagues) but let's see him make honorable mention all state first.
