HEADING TO OT
White Bear scores with 10 seconds left in regulation, but a high sticking call causes goal to be withdrawn - it was a good call as much as i hate to admit it

For as much as I am a fan of both teams, I really am going to hate to see either team lose..

Kudos to Sager on a solid game plan... Skate two lines for almost 2 periods of play, plus OT..

I am not who this intermission is going to help more.. WBL had East on the ropes.. I don't know if they can sustain the momentum, or if East will be able to come out really fresh and attack WBL..

The luck goes to White Bear Lake they have succeeded in three OT
games recently. Another great quarter final game

Ok Ill admit , Wahlin is dangerous... I think my heart skips a beat whenever he has the puck

I would have thought Randolph would play the 1st line alot more in OT, Hes rolling 3 lines and keeping the 3rd out there quite a bit...

I was surprised Randolph did that with a short OT period... Woulda thought maybe only one shift..

Wahlin has D1 ability, but Bantam size...

Karl, your heart start beating again?

Hats off to White Bear; great support by their fans, great effort in a game where, had they won, would have deserved that win. They really took the play to East late in the game. I can see now how White Bear beat Hill-Murray in their section final. Right now I feel East escaped as much as won.

Man, what a game.

Congrats to Duluth East on a hard fought victory, won't get any easier tomorrow playing Edina.

It's tough Nightman... But, I think as a whole, WBL fans have to be encouraged by the play of the young defensemen.

I thought sophomore Thomas Delaney did a very solid job for just being given a regular shift a couple weeks ago. R.J., Jack Morrisette, Carney and Delaney and Schletty in nets all will be back to anchor the defensive zone.

Getting goals will be hard earned, though.

WBL - DE

Post by stpaul »

Congratulations to Duluth East. We ancient Edina haters will be pulling for you in a big way tomorrow night. The WBL Quarterfinal curse lives on. I wonder what they did wrong to be cursed in such a way. Moose Goheen must have offended the hockey gods many years ago.

:D :D :D :D :D

Wow.

I didn't see the game winner at all; I had a terrible angle. But I figured out what happened pretty quickly. My heart rate is slowly stabilizing.

Congrats to White Bear on a great game and a great season. You deserved a better fate. I can feel your pain. Go win yourselves a consolation title.

East did just enough this afternoon. Randolph knew his team was deeper, and used that to his advantage. Impressive performance by the 2nd line, and of course Jeanetta. It can be hard to stop a team that feels like it has destiny on its side, but the Hounds managed it today.

Best atmosphere I've ever seen at the X, with Tonka-Hill last year as the only possible exception. The East fans may not have had WBL's numbers, but they made plenty of noise and held their own.

In line for evening session tix now...
