9th graders playing varsity

Now that High school tryouts are over, lets start a list of 9th graders who will be playing varsity in 2010-2011

I think for a lot of high school teams, tryouts go through this weekend...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure a lot of teams tryouts don't end until sunday.

I'm pretty sure Shane Gersich is playing varsity for Holy Family this year as an 8th grader. He'll probably be one of the best on the team, too.

does Holy Family even have an 8th grade, I thought they were 9-12

I've heard of this situation before. Usually the kid will go to a "feeder" school or local private school. I don't know the exact rules though....

I believe the reference is to Keegan Iverson. Junior Wes Iverson's little (big) brother. Certainly has the size and ability to play at this level.

i thought Gersich was a freshmen?

anyway Scott Mckissick will likely see ice time on Mankato West's blue line as a freshmen
