For What Its Worth

Post by elliott70 »

Minnesota Baseball recently notified me that I have been elected to their Hall of Fame.

Yes, I am astounding as are you.

Humbled and honored but never thought of myself as someone to be honored as such.

But thanks to all that worked with me since I became involved in that game.

Thank you, Lee.
It was a complete surprise.

A compliment to all the people that I worked with over the years.

As I a baseball guy I know what an honor this is. Congratulations are definitely in order.

Baseball was the first group that stood up against restrictions and it worked. Baseball people are, baseball people and care passionately about their sport. To be honored by such a group is indeed an honor.

A plaque for me and one at the hall.
What else I do not know yet.
The BOD meets mid-April.

If there is a banquet and it is not in Detroit Lakes but at Kings in Miesville let me know. I have been to a couple of these, me and my better half would enjoy another.

The last post on the rebel bored was in Late July! They may all be dead or so senile they forgot their passwords.

Ran into a former Gopher in Seth Ambrose at the town ball state tournament. He plays for St Patrick. Amazing how many former hockey players show up in this tournament. Far more than wrestlers or basketball players.

The Rochester Royals win the state amateur class B state title in 11 innings over Champlin Park.

FWIW Minnesota has over 280 town ball teams, most in places so small they have a population of under 1,000 and not much more than a Ballpark, a bar, and a Catholic Church.

I worked this year’s tournament in Meisville, home of two top eating places in the state and a great ballpark.
