I'm not sure where to post this.
I'm a novelist. The protagonist of my next novel is a top high school hockey player. He is dealing with grief regarding the death of his brother - who was also a top hockey player. The two were members of a Colorado Springs high school hockey team. The protagonist is still a member of that high school's team.
During a critical game, my protagonist sends the puck to his brother. Only, his brother is not there (remember, his brother recently died). This results in the opposing team getting the puck and scoring and winning the game.
My barrier to writing this scene is that I know almost nothing about hockey. btw, I'm disabled, so joining a local amateur team is out of the question. Can you point me to some good resources to study to learn hockey?
