If i was implying mini mites were hot then i would have said that i enjoy going to mini mites games, not high school hockey games. Also old is an opinion. Old to me means a retiree or my grandmother however old to a 5 year old can mean a teenager.

Also i go to high school hockey games because i love watching hockey. High school to me in the most fun to watch because high school players play with the most passion. And i never said i didn't like this one. This is quite entertaining and a nice break from "this player is overrated because..." or "This rivalry game is the best because..." This is the intermission right? :)

Exactly :) This is an intermission thread !! But I agree, I enjoy watching kids play to see who might possibly be the next big thing.. Going to D East and graduating in the "golden era " i guess of 95-98 and seeing what good players we had and how good we were , just made it that much more exciting to watch in the long run.. Of course there is still some school spirit in there, especially with big games, But Its just a fun thing to do on a cold night .. Nothing beats a good saturday double header on a cold snowy day

I dont think there is anything wrong with the original topic. I too have heard coments about going to highschool hockey events. As far as I see this is the state of hockey, and the High school is where it all starts. The rivalries and intensity of the play can't be matched in a sporting event. I see the young girls trying to get all dolled up but they usually arent paying attention to the game, and are standing up screening the view of the play. The glamore of there so called prettiness goes away as soon as they open there mouth and start teenage conversations. I find it alot more enjoyable to sit far away from any student section and converse with another hockey fan about what is actually going on in the game. Im almost over the hill my self, and will be attending high School hockey games for the rest of my life. Hope to meet one of you at the rink in the future, and i gaurentee that the conversation will be about hockey.

Ha Ha! Funny. My lovely wife will often go with me to some of the games. Our son played hockey and she knows most of the rules. I rather enjoy talking to her about the things on the ice that are changing the momentum one way or the other. She is quicker than me to call BS on a bad call. or talk about what a player should have done with the puck. My intermissions are usually spent out side the Arena practicing the dirty outdoor air act. If voyerism were my thing, i would go to a gentlemens establishment rather than a high school hockey arena. If all the adaults That watched high school hockey were pedifiles, then FSN is running a porn channel.

For those that don't enjoy this thread, not only is this an intermission, but there aren't many games this week, so this is our HOLIDAY BREAK, too..

In all seriousness, I suppose I could start a new thread, but SAHA is an Olympic-size rink, is it not?? It sure seems bigger. Is Heritage?? If there is a difference, do the players like one versus the other and/or do they play better on one sheet vs the other?

Whats really funny, Outside of a few of the Highschool players posting on here, The majority of us on here have been out of high school for a long time. with out all of us having the passion for high school hockey, this forum wouldnt exist. This is an interesting subject, but 90 something % of us love the sport, and thats why we are on here and attend the High school events. It would be different if this was a forum about Dungeons and dragons or Pokemon. No offence to all any of the 12 sided dice rollers.

the simple fact that you know there is such a thing as 12-sided dice, means you should serve a 2-day suspension from this board!!! =;

Well said!

If anything this is just a thread ( possibly a temp, but oh well ) where you can just ramble or ask random questions.. I dunno, like you said, its a slow hockey week, so this is just something a little different.. And since we dont have a "off topic/Random thread, I think the mods should change the Name of this thread to " The Intermission Thread" and make it a sticky.. Then we can actually have something to ask questions that may not be 100% about the typical "who better", "whos going to win" threads, But yet still pertain to hockey..??

Just a thought ;)

If I could rep you for starting this thread, I would. Kudos! That women are sneaking into the discussion is proof that they don't understand how men think!

Well i guess during the intermission it is ok to talk about if any of the boys are good looking. I don't do this anymore because that is creepy.

If you really think its creepy to look at attractive people, I feel bad for you.. I know your dad "taught you right" but you seem real old fashioned

I didnt mean to offend anyone, just thought we needed ONE thread for random talk, Since alot of members are on here it would be nice to start something off topic...

Try making a womans thread.. Then all of us can thread spy to see what goes on in you womens minds

Great idea, mj79. We need two Intermission threads:

Intermission: Men's Room
Intermission: Women's Room

And, just like the toilets in the arena, each room is off-limits to the opposite gender. Unless, one happens to be a gender-bender.
