Feb 29, 2008: Leap Year Time Capsule

Post by Irishmans Shanty »

There are certain benchmarks for which the passage of time can be measured. For me, what better than a day that only comes around once every four years. Now's your chance, lock in your current thoughts and predictions for the next four years. And read about them four years from today, maybe.

Current Events
-impending financial doom for America unseen since the 1930's.
-a minority and female battle to represent the Democrats in the big election.
-Oil is over a $100 barrel
-drug addicts are still showered with accolades at the Grammys
-Roger Clemens investigated for purgery by the FBI
-#4 seeded Cloquet Lumberjacks charging towards an improbable big school state title

Predictions that will come to fruition by Feb 29, 2012
-"Up For Grabs" will account for 1/2 of the bored's bandwidth
-Twins+Wolves+Vikings playoff victories = 0
-Tubby will not be coaching the Gopher Basketball Team
-Tim Brewster will not be coaching the Gopher Football Team
-25% of Bored members will have charged beyond Four Thousand posts
-Nobody recieved in the Santana trade will be at Spring Training 2012

I'm just going to lift a pint in honor of William F. Buckle. HERE! HERE!

I'm think he is debating God on the fact the 10 commandments are not conservative enough.

The Fact that Tubby is 18-10 Under Players he didnt recruit, that hes Signed untill 2014, and The Fact that Tubby is one of the Top Coaches When it comes to recruiting kinda shoots your prediction in the Foot.

Your misinterpreting why Smith won't be here in four years. The fact that Tubby is too good a coach means Minnesota can't keep him. Tubby will be off to one of the elite programs as soon as something opens up in a place a wee bit sexier than Minnesota. By the way, Indiana is looking for a coach.
