According to hockey fans in this state the gophers have zero room for error.
All good Tiger... I was referencing C-Dad comment w/ Gopher Dzone coverage around Wilcox.

Yes. I suppose I do expect too much from the Gophers. Watching them for over 40 years does that...

Tonight. Same story, credit Badgers again for blocking so many shots again... Cant get shots to net. Until Ambrose chip in... :D

McCabe call had to be made. Head hunting on Rau.

Good to be 1-1 going into 3rd...
Jake McCabe should come over here so I can head hunt him.....what a puss.

Badger losses were a great wake-up call. April #1 is what matters most.

Good to see Gophers come out and sweep a good Michigan team this past weekend. Hopefully that Wisco series got them going.

They lost two close games to a top ten team on the road in a hostile environment and everyone wants to jump off. Wow people!

Anyone notice they got swept but didn't move in the rankings after that either. Give Wisconsin credit...they are good!

Since the split in college hockey conferences, doesn't seem like a lot of interest here?

Not a fan of big 10. That's for sure. Old wcha was great with all the rivalries.

I think it will help that they are playing all these games in March on traditional sized rinks. The Olympic sized rink is great for the gophers speed and wide open hockey, but it does little to help them prepare for the NCAA tourney.

Good luck Gophers....

This Gopher club has pleasantly surprised me this year, but...

I think its time to keep it simple, use your speed and talent and take the puck to the net, shoot the puck... too much perimeter play and cutesy pass plays... shoot the puck!!!! Shoot the puck!

1st period done... OSU up 1-0 on PP... what did they do took it to the net, nice goal!

Come on Gophers!

Thank you!!!!

Get the puck low w/ guys like Rau there to pound!

PP has had 3 guys high w/ no one low, until that goal... Thank you!

1-1

Come on Gophs :!:

Wow. Nice effort...

Where are the upper classmen for this team when it counts? Condon cant even dump a puck...

Lucia has to get this team ready for the tournament. Not playing best hockey at end of season again...

Ohio State takes out Minnesota. Man I am hoping that the Gophs have this figured out, but then they lose like this. Can Minnesota contend for a national title? Or will they choke again?

In a decade since their last title and the last of woogs recruits, the gophers haven't won a single frozen four game. It's an embarrassment to this state, and I would put my money on them choking and who is ever announcing the game to give the typical david vs Goliath analogy they use every year.

It was DW's penchant for losing in the play-offs that cost him his coaching job ... that and loose cash in the desk drawer.

Need a North Dakotan ('02) or an Austrian ('03) to carry them to a title.

In part to his prolific scoring touch, the Golden Gophers won the 2003 NCAA National Championship. Vanek was named MVP of the Frozen Four tournament, scoring the game-winning goals in both the semifinal against Michigan in overtime and in the final against New Hampshire.

Vanek had to have been a DL recruit, right ?

Only the Gophers left from the B10. Just hard to get excited about college hockey with all the league changes. I guess it's called progress.

If the Gophers can find a way to beat St. Cloud tonight, four different conferences will be represented in the Frozen Four:

- Big Ten
- NCHA
- ECAC
- Hockey East

Plus a guaranteed West vs. East matchup in the championship game.
