Don't forget Redwood Falls in D4 Bantam A

Post by OU812 »

Redwood Falls is still undefeated in D4 play and has not even had a close game yet against a D4 opponent. They are clearly going to get the #1 seed in the West and should be at least as tough as Faribo at Districts.

Redwood

This is an interesting team. They were very competitive in the dist. tourney last year, having tight losses to Kato and AL and if I remember right, beating Far.. What sparked this turn on? They have beat Kato twice, and beat NU pretty handily. Any insight?

Redwood Falls

The only thing I can say is that the Palusky kid from RF has played really well. I think he had seven goals and ten total points in the two kato games (out of 14 total goals scored by RF). I think he had seven points in another game this year as well. They have great first line with him at center.

Ou812 are you joking? as good as faribault? Redwood is in the west where there are NO good teams. redwoood would be eaten alive in the east. they would have a hard enough time competing with the bottom of the east let alone faribault(who is on top).

Redwood Falls beat New Ulm 4-0. Faribault barely beat New Ulm. Seems like RF is competitive. Plus, RF beat Faribo last year in BA, I believe.

OU812, These Far. kid's are getting a little silly on here. You guy's just keep doing what you are doing and let time tell what happen's. You have a great season going for you. The bottom line is that whichever team's goaltender play's the best in the dist. tourney will win, that's the way it alway's goes. Do you think you can tell which kid's they are? They all dangle and they all put their no.s at the end.

Hey - kids will be kids, right? The D4 Bantam A rosters, Faribault included, can be found on the District 4 website, BTW.

Time will tell how D4 shakes out - I'm not from RF but think they have a good team and the big kid, #11 Palusky, has been very strong when we've seen him (ten points in two games), plus the refs told us he had had simlar results this season in other games that they worked.

Albert Lea, Fairbo, New Prague, Owatonna, Mankato, and Redwood Falls are all pretty much equal teams, and have all battled to close games...It's going to depend on whose hot, whose not, and who has the goaltending and consitincey to win, when they need to...

BTW, I believe Paulsky had like 10 of RF 14 against Kato..

al/far

Post by jackstraw »

Far. has some very talented player's, Teske being VERY good, and they controlled much of the play. AL played a very disciplined d-zone, goaltender saw the shot's and there were very few rebound's. Shot's were very lopsided in Far.'s favor, but scoring opportunities were much closer, about 6-4. Far. has a very large bench and that tend's to keep their top player's off the ice much of the time. Now that I have seen all the D-4 East team's, I give the edge to Far. as the top team with NP close behind and Owatonna and AL right on their tail's. As was shown, any team can win on any given night.

In the game FAR v AL, the goaltender for al played good.(I think) but he got a delay of game for shooting the puck into the net, is that a penalty in youth hockey..?
