No offense HHM but you can't have both LSS & Synergy ranked that high.....when they are in the same tournament, Synergy's fill in player is actually on the LSS (even listed on their roster  )

1. Machine
2.LSS
3.Blades (they have their original team playing in the Easton Cup)
4 thru Whatever is the rest.

I agree. Synergy is a different team without their LSS star. Any scores from the Synergy v. Blades game? What happened to the Blades? I'm referring to the RIP comment. How does LSS fair when they play the Machine?

1. Machine
not too far in the rearview mirror...LSS
3. but fading quickly the old Blades, who knows what's to come there?
4. three goals back...Synergy or Deuce. Probably Deuce if the Synergy has lost there star.
5. Icemen, Magicians, Northern Wings
Realistically after the Machine and the Stars, it could all be a toss up.

Who is the 1998Minnesota Mix? - I heard from a parent of player in the Easton Cup that they kept the Machine to 1 - 0 with two minutes left in the 3rd and had the LSS down by four goals before losing in the 3rd. Never heard of them before in any other age groups let alone the 98 group that my kid is in. Where are they based out of? Has anyone else played them?

they are very good from what I saw. looked like Deuce and Icemen plus others kids without stickers on their helmets. good goalie. machine vs. mix was great game for the period that i saw. pretty even except for a couple players.

What about Cyclone Hockey?
They don't have a '98 team this year so pretty tough to include them in this.

MKLH is correct, the 98 Cyclones do not exist but they are trying to put a team together for next year. they will not be very good. difficult to put a top team together when the current top teams have such a big head start.

top three 98 team prediction for next year is to look at the top goalies. machine, icemen and blades have top goalies and will be top teams.

Deuce beat Icemen 6-2 in early August.

Looks like the Machine took care of LSS and everyone else in their bracket at the Easton Cup. WOW! Maybe the list should be:
1. Machine
....and then everyone else.
Maybe I'm speaking too soon, since the semi and finals are today. We'll see....

Deuce vs Icemen was a scrimmage. Icemen skated four lines including practice players. First skate since summer break. Not a fair comparison. I would say they would play each other close in a real game.

Sorry, thought it was the 97 thread, BUT the 96 Cyclones just won the championship in Duluth. Hmm, seems to me there were a few teams that had a big head start on them also. They outscored their opponents 30-4.

That is a nice victory for the 96 Cyclones for sure but the top teams were not there - Machine, Blades, Icemen, etc.

Seriously though, good job Cyclones!

Congrats '98 Blades. Sounds like an exciting finish. I'm sure the Blades group was happy after their dismal Brick showing. Or, was this a different set of kids? Different coaches?

Let's just say that the same group of kids figured out how to play like a TEAM!
