Can anyone on the WBL side of the fence confirm the story about Roed, that he's ineligible for post season play? I can't imagine the rules are even written down in a year when we had a 3 month delay to the season. I just wonder how close it was and that's too bad for a kid that decided to come home and play with his buddies one more time.

Also wondering about this, would make this section even more of a cakewalk than it already is for Hill.Sparlimb wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 1:10 pm Can anyone on the WBL side of the fence confirm the story about Roed, that he's ineligible for post season play? Re: 4AA Outlook
If that is indeed true, then I certainly hope that Jackson Blake from Eden Prairie is ineligible too.TheNightman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 1:50 pmAlso wondering about this, would make this section even more of a cakewalk than it already is for Hill.Sparlimb wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 1:10 pm Can anyone on the WBL side of the fence confirm the story about Roed, that he's ineligible for post season play? I'm saying that if Roed is ineligible for post season, then Blake should be as well. They both returned from Jr. hockey at the same time.O-townClown wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 3:12 pmHave not heard that. Why would you hope a kid is ineligible?
Re: 4AA Outlook
Its possible it had to do with classroom days (even if online) at the school. And they might be different for those two guys. No idea. I'm just speculating. It was on the Karl's YHH podcast it was brought up. Just thought someone would know more of the details or at least confirm its true.wbmd wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 3:16 pmI'm saying that if Roed is ineligible for post season, then Blake should be as well. Yes it is true, I won’t go into the details of what happened but he is ineligible for the playoffsSparlimb wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 1:10 pm Can anyone on the WBL side of the fence confirm the story about Roed, that he's ineligible for post season play? That's too bad, would have been fun to see him take one more shot at HM.Wblhcky2424 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 7:44 amYes it is true, I won’t go into the details of what happened but he is ineligible for the playoffsSparlimb wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 1:10 pm Can anyone on the WBL side of the fence confirm the story about Roed, that he's ineligible for post season play? Re: 4AA Outlook
The rule says a player must return by the 4th Monday after the official start of the season. In parentheses it says 22 days. Wonder how many lawyers it took to come up with that.
It's a shame how the mshsl operates.

Re: 4AA Outlook
Thats really unfortunate. Glad to see, though, that he will be playing at the college level and that this doesn't have to be the lasting memory he has of his playing days. Best of luck to him in the future.Wblhcky2424 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 10:01 am2 days

Re: 4AA Outlook
Mounds View beating Stillwater for a second time last night was a little bit eyebrow raising. I'm curious to see if that actually pushes Mounds View to the 3 seed in the section. The problem is the 2 wins over Stillwater are really the only quality wins for Mounds View, whereas Stillwater has beaten White Bear Lake and Cretin. Shoutout to a buddy of mine who put it best like so:
1. Hill-Murray
2. WBL
3. Mounds View
4. Stillwater
5. East Ridge
6. Roseville
7. Woodbury
8. Irondale/St. Anthony
9. Minnehaha Academy.
1-2 & 8-9 are in sharpie. 3-7 are in pencil but still could move. RSV specifically

Where did you find this rule? I'm looking for the "small print," if you will into all the details.

There are some exceptions, but not if you played the same sport on a non-school team.

Re: 4AA Outlook
Oof. Stillwater needs a last minute goal to take down winless Irondale. They are trending badly in the wrong direction. With Mounds View’s loss to Roseville, but with two wins over Stillwater, I don’t know what they’ll do with seeding. Could be:
Hill
WBL
MV
Stillwater
or.....
Hill

Stillwater

We’ll find out in a few short hours

Normally, hours are never short when waiting for section seedings to come out. But this has all the drama of...of what?.... watching my lawn dry out?

Re: 4AA Outlook
According to Hill’s Twitter account, they have the #1 seed, not surprisingly.

Re: 4AA Outlook
Pioneers breeze past an Irondale squad on their first winning streak of the season.
Mounds View struggles under the heavy weight the #3 seed brings, but survives.
Stillwater in a battle to prove they are deserving of the #4 seed.
Aaaaaaand the Bears may be headed to another embarrassing quarter final round loss. Ouch!
