What did the HF coach have to pay to get his son in the league. What a joke.

Dog wrote: Fri Jul 24, 2020 5:16 pm This might belong in early departures and not gospel but heard Galatz was playing for the Wilderness this year. Not sure if it'd be before and after HS season or all year.
The decisions on before/after vs. the HSEL will be interesting over the next month. I don't think anyone can be overly confident that the MN HS season will occur, so I can understand the desire to move to juniors. However, the junior leagues are also going to contend with a number of issues as well around ability to play games in certain states and if so, can fans attend (gate and sponsorship revenue) and if they can't does the team furlough a season?

I believe Galatz will be full time with the Wilderness, but not set in stone. I agree I would also think many with Jr options will be waiting to see what happens with fall sports. Once we know that the dominos will fall.

Don’t worry. They will take your money gladly. Just be ready to pay for a season you won’t get to play.

Seriously dude, take some time off from this site.

We all know you think hockey players, their parents, coaches, referees, and everyone associated with the sport are bad people.

Actually love hockey. Got hooked about twenty years ago and have really enjoyed the sport. Especially high school. With UMD hockey being my lifelong love.

What I don’t like, stupidity or outright wrong info being shared on a forum.

I can appreciate that. Coach Sandelin and the Bulldogs are a model D-1 program.

What info shared has been wrong?

I go back to Sertich, Hull, Gooslin, McIver, etc. the games being played at the DECC and losing to the Gophers every year in the WCHA. Or how about the 1984 championship vs Bowling Green? Where our goalie got lost behind the net chasing a puck in the 5th OT to lose . Great memories......
But we got our C-Chip and we have our fairy tale ending.

I don't think spectators will allowed (general public), I believe a small number of family members will be admitted with "passes". My understanding is the games at NH will be streamed.

I hope they find a way to allow scouts in. The league touts their record of drawing scouts to watch and the players want to be seen. Black Bauer/CCM coats and notepads are what the players want to see in the building (and some puck bunnies too but that only happens in the school season).

Can’t vouch first hand myself, But knowledgeable friend told me tonight that of course scouts would be welcome and New Hope arena would probably have a reasonable spectator limit in line with regulations and like what other rinks have been doing at tournaments this summer. And masks required.

My understanding is that William Whitelaw made the SSM prep roster, and he was the only 05 to make it.

Looks like all September SSM Elite League games have been cancelled or postponed.

Yeah , Don’t know what happened with SSM. Would also be interested to know if their bantam team played at Brooklyn Park
, have heard that team is absolutely loaded , including Brodie Ziemer

Watched the Wisc vs Team North game last nite which ended with 5-3 north win. Wisconsin played their usual very physical game, and bottled up plante and panzer pretty well. But Parker got two , and others pitched in for the other 3. Cade Anderson took a huge hit , Which resulted in a five-minute major, but left the ice under his own power and went to locker room to be checked out.
fun to watch Umds Joey Pierce and Nodaks Trey Ausmus playing together on Blue line

Covid. No need to talk any further about it and lock this thread down. Hopefully they will be back and ready in a couple weeks.

Can’t say for Bantam team specifically, but their U15 and U16 teams have been continuing to play.

Correct. One of a handful of 05s on U16 club. Between him, Whitelaw on Prep, and Woodbury’s Henricks they have a really solid crew of 05s. Obviously many others too.
