Edina/SLP Summer tourney. Pool 1-4 at SLP, Pools 5-6 at Braemar:
Pool 1 - Blake, Cretin-Derham Hall, Wayzata, Prior Lake
Pool 2 - Duluth East, Champlin Park, Eastview, Gentry Academy
Pool 3 - LV North, Holy Family, Cloquet, Rogers
Pool 4 - St. Thomas Academy, Benilde-St. Margaret's, LV South #1, Centennial
Pool 5 - LV South #2, Maple Grove, Forest Lake, Rosemount
Pool 6 - Andover, Holy Angels, Totino-Grace, Northfield
Pick’m
Pool 1 Prior Lake
Pool 2 Champlin Park
Pool 3 Cloquet
Pool 4 BSM
Pool 5 Maple Grove
Pool 6 Andover
Champion Maple Grove
Well obviously LVS won’t win as they appear to be putting split squads in the tourney. Last year there was a varsity and a JV division and LVS still put two teams in the Varsity side. Makes sense I guess as this is about seeing which kids can play at that level and not so much about winning.

I haven’t seen a JV schedule. Does anyone know if there is a JV division this year?

If anyone has a schedule for this, I would appreciate seeing it.
I also have to plead ignorance: Will fans be allowed to attend?
For the games at Braemar they are only allowing 1 fan per player or coach and the kids have to come to the rink dressed or dress in the parking lot. For the games at St. Louis Park it's wide open.

Our HS coach sent an email saying that only one coach allowed on bench and no fans in the stands at Braemar this wknd.

Mars Lakeview Arena and Marshall School just cancelled their STP tourney for weekend of 7/24 due to Covid-19 concerns.
Bummer

Latest I’m hearing on spectators for this weekend:
Braemar : 1 per roster member . Unclear whether this will be on a per game basis which might limit things to 40 or 50. Or whether tournament based count , which for our varsity and JV combined might be 300. Imho West rink could easily hold many more, with social distancing
SLP: Maximum of 250 on West rink , and 150(Not sure) on the East rink . Again imho west rink Could easily hold many many more with social distancing

The games at SLP will be streamed all weekend at
https://www.mnhockey.tv/st-louis-park-rec-center but you do need to pay. Seems as prices are same as what theyd cost to show up to the game..

A previous poster mentioned their curiosity about Miller and Ratzlaff. I'm curious too, have either of them been on the ice so far? Any other notable absences/presences?

Gentry HS boys with impressive pool play get to Sunday . Then today , Gentry AAA star D1 ‘03 commits Kurth and Schimek suited up for Gentry also . Together ,they won the semis and championship .
Ironic that Schimek was able to beat brother Wills former HS team STA.
Jackson Hallum an inch or two taller and even a step or two faster , fastest in state . But Stars were able to neutralize him in 2nd half .
Also noteworthy - Edina bantam Tommy Cronin is now a Cadet .
