We got a Wisconsinite! Nice. I came here about 20 years ago from Wisconsin, when I was about 20. I always was a little jealous of the Minnesota hockey passion. It’s amazing the stuff you don’t realize about Minnesota until you’ve been here a while. Most Wisconsin hockey fans don’t understand the state tournament. I didn’t realize Mighty Ducks was a Minnesota thing. I didn’t know about Herb Brooks legend or the strength of Minnesota and USA hockey. Good for these guys! I tend to feel a little weird caring about high school hockey as an adult. I think that’s because I’m not from here.

I met some of those guys before they got famous- At the Edina Classic in December.

I should mention our thanks to Loren Nelson, Pete Waggoner, and Cheryl Myers photog at the Strib for the nice article. And of course thanks to all our rink buddies, forum friends especially our 4AA friends at Aldrich the other nite , long time friends at YHH, FTP, and finally our newest friends BarDownBeauties Jessi and Alexis for all their support. Im sure all that had something to do with the Hub deciding to go forward with the article on us five regular citizens at the rink.
