Interesting take on 6AA....The following is my count of the number of players who will be skating in the Sectioin 6AA Semifinals at BIG on Saturday who grew up playing in the Edina Hockey Association. Pretty interesting to see the feeding/development from that program....This is a simple analysis of the currently-posted rosters:
--Blake: 7 skaters from EHA
--Benilde: 3 skaters from EHA
--Cretin: 0 skaters from EHA (why are they in Section 6AA anyway??--OOPS, different topic
--Edina: 21 skaters from EHA
Total of 31 kids from that association going to be skating in two games, spread among three different teams.

Can a team have more than 20 players on their Section Rostered Team?
Re: Number of Edina Association players on the ice at BIG tomorrow
No they can't, only 20 for Edina. If a player(s) is/are injured that player can be replaced with a new player.

Edina is a great association and elite in developing talent but their numbers are significant on both the boys and girls side.
Question:
How many of those 10 skaters on teams other than Edina could/would have eventually made it to play Varsity?!?

Assuming 20 on the post-season roster, Edina will have at most 19 that played EHA. One of their highest profile players who leads in minutes played did not.
Be kind. Rewind.

Dexheimer and Sabre for sure from Blake. (I’m too lazy to look up other Edina natives.)
Bisson from BSM
I’m sure others can add to that starting point.
Also, the number of Minneapolis kids on Blake is significant, close to a third of their roster, and BSM has a few as well.
