Hastings outplayed Mayo badly for 2 periods but only led 2-1. The third was different, a steady stream of Raiders to the penalty box let Mayo tie it up. Hastings scores late then has to kill off another penalty to avoid a really big upset.

Mayo’s goalie must have had close to 50 saves, without him playing so well the game would have been running time to start the third.
