Shots were pretty much even in the Hill blowout as well. 27-26 or something. Shots don’t tell the whole story of course, but the trend is noteworthy.

LVN goalie will give them a chance every game this year. 1 goal on 34 shots tonight and 2 goals on 50-some shots against Chaska. Fun to watch.

Entertaining game from the Lumberdome tonight. The talent level (and the crowd) for this one may not be what it has been in the past, but it was still well worth attending.

East does seem to be coming together somewhat. They're settling into a more consistent brand of East hockey and were generating decent chances. Their Achilles' Heel has been the defense, which got burned a number of times, including an ugly turnover for the tying goal and letting Galatz get behind them just before time expired in regulation, which set up the PP on which the Jacks won the game in OT. A few members of the D corps owe Konrad Kausch for how often he gets left out to dry.

For Cloquet, it was pretty much the Christian Galatz show. East had better put someone on him in the next meeting, because he was a force, and that team is going to ride him as far as he'll take them. Secondary scoring will be vital if they want to be a real contender in the section.
