Thanks for all the scoring updates Corn Cobb but this thread was a lot more fun when all the Luverne love/hate was going on. The # 5 seed seems appropriate but given their overall record and the 5-2 win over New Ulm they may surprise someone. Seems to be a fairly big drop from the top 5 to the next 6.

Big stretch here over the next 8 or so days with a lot of section seeding implications.

Starting off tonight with Hutch vs. New Ulm.
Moving to Saturday with Marshall vs. Litch.
Next Thursday you have the Luverne vs. New Ulm rematch in New Ulm, and Hutch vs. Redwood.
And then Saturday the 1st is Litch vs. Luverne.


I think if Hutch beats New Ulm tonight they're in the driver seat and all but lock up the #1 seed, granted they take care of business vs. Redwood.

Then it gets messy, with Litch, New Ulm, and Marshall, with the Litch vs Marshall game on Saturday potentially deciding the 2 seed.

If Litch beats Marshall on Saturday, Litch should lock up the 2 seed, moving New Ulm into the 3 (if they beat Luverne at home) and Marshall to the 4.

Lourdes is really down this year but they still have name recognition. New Ulm going there and winning 7-0 probably looks a lot better than it really is. That said, I think anytime you can go and beat a team with the pedigree of a Lourdes it has to help your program and put a bounce in your step.

Lourdes isn’t going to go 0-25, later in the year I think that will be a nice win for New Ulm.

I think I may have been wrong.

After losing to Waseca and Highland Park this week.....they may go from playing in a section championship to 0-26.
