Now I am from FLAKE so here is what I saw.
A skilled team get out hit and physically intimidated.
That being said I expected to be home towned but holy cow not to that extent.
That being said that hasn't changed since the 70's. A team that going into last night averages 6 minutes in penalties a game gets 28 holy cow!
Two holy cows.
I compliment Cloquet their game plan was to be physical and they carried it out.
Most one sided physical game I have seen years.
I could have been 14 or 15 if not for the first and 2nd period heroics by Josie.

First off, it was 26 minutes not 28, second off, 10 of those was one 10 minute misconduct so really shouldn't count those minutes. Of the remaining 16 minutes, 4 minutes were coincidentals. So CEC FL had 12 PIM that resulted in powerplays. The PP stats on the Hub are incorrect.

CEC was 2/6 on the PP and FL was 0/3.

1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, and 11. Those are dates in February that Duluth East has hockey games. That’s quite the stretch.

Massive influenza breakout after the Forest Lake loss. Couldn’t field a team.

I think Elk River has a shot here. A big rivalry game. I’m taking the Elks in this one.

Every team gets the flu during the winter. “Next man up” is the calling card/marching orders kids/teams use/need to get through it.

I think Randover already had the bug earlier in the season?

It’s starting to look like East vs. Forest Lake in the 4/5 matchup. East has already lost to Flake, Rapids, and Cloquet so I don’t think they climb any higher than ther current QRF to get beyond any tie breaker. Flake has lost Cloquet and East. CEC has Rapids and East left.

I think CEC will slide into the 2 slot. Rapids 3, Forest Lake 4 and East 5. Semi’s will be Andover/East and CEC/Rapids.

Rapids comes to Cloquet the last game of the year. If we beat them, it’s possible we finish ahead of them.

Final: Andover 7-2. SOG something like 65-13

I think you are correct, only an incredible effort in net (Clafton) and the ghosts of Amsoil can potentially stand in the way of that. Andover not making it out of 7AA is about the only result in sections that would surprise me this year.

Flake lost to Rapids, also.
