Well hopefully today’s win for the Hounds vs Blaine will get them back on track.

7AA is looking really tasty early on. Forest Lake beats Elk River. CEC beats Duluth East in Cloquet. Duluth East beats Blaine. Grand Rapids beats 2 top 5 teams in the first week of the season.

CEC has high potential as a #2 in the section lots of hockey to be played. The road swing for Rapidly Declining was telling of a young team with Senior goaltending. Carter will have to carry the mail all season for a shot at a late season game at the Amsoil. The section can sure shape up to be a nice 4 to 5 team race. Here's hoping Forest Lake is legit so it makes for some really good playoff hockey. Oh and never ever count East out as long as the great 'Randini' is running the show.

I think 5 teams have a legitimate shot at the #2 seed. Rapids, East, CEC, Forest, and Elk. I don’t think it’s a good idea to underestimate the Hounds and Elk on their slow starts. It’s just really fun! Minnesota high school hockey is the best. 👍👏

I was at the Andover vs DE game. The talent difference was striking between in 2 teams☝️If Andover doesn’t advance to State in 7AA this year...they never will.

Is FL 7-0-1 or 6-1-1? Minnesota-scores.net has a win vs Champlin Park but MNHockeyHub.com has it as a loss.

I watched GR vs. Elk on the internet last night. I was really impressed with Elks three headed monster and GR entire squad. Duluth East is rolling and CEC is wounded. Haven’t been healthy all year. I can’t stand injuries....for anybody, let alone my purple. Good news is the young kids are getting playing time. The next 8 on the schedule are brutally good. PlusEast again, at Eden Prairie and White Bear in Cloquet, and Grand Rapids still twice. I don’t know....

I noticed GR plays Hermantown twice this year. I get that it's games vs a good opponent, but wouldn't two losses have noticeably negative effect on their playoff seeding?

Yep, really stupid. That’s what we call QRF suicide. They deserve whatever they get for playoff seeding...,

I'm guessing that GR feels that playing Hermantown twice is more beneficial to them than worrying about seeding.

Rapids has won 4 state titles and 70% of their games at state. That is my kind of stupid.

I will be rooting for them. But when they finish behind Forest Lake and East it’s going to be a tougher path.

And I think GR is ok with that. That is just my opinion.

My thought is that if Grand Rapids beats FL and DEast they will be seated ahead of those if not by QRF #'s but by tie breaker.
Assuming Rapids can win some other games during the season.

This is year three that Grand Rapids has played Hermantown twice , I have not Scene much of the section this year besides Rapids vs Elk River and Elk River is not very good just my opinion. I am going to see forest Lake Friday but I think it’s a three team race for the second seed Rapids, east , cloquet. Just my opinion.

Duluth East just lost 8-0 today has that ever happened to coach Mike Randolph before? Shocking to say the least. I know they lost 7-1 to Andover but this seems crazy.

East's worst loss under Mike. Have to go back to the 1987 Section Finals to find an eight-goal loss.

You’d have to go back farther than that to find someone who is worried about a Randolph regular season loss.

Awful loss today at home for Grand Rapids, idk why they don’t drive wide more and use there speed on teams instead of trying to stick handle through people. I see 3-5 more wins this season playing the way the have been playing, goalie has been average to awful at times and the defense turns the puck over in the defensive zone way to much lately.

Holy Family Catholic 3 - 2. I didn’t think Rapids played that bad. They doubled up HFC on shots. I did think our goaltender was a little shaky today. Their netminder was solid...didn’t give up much for rebounds. Rapids need to get grittier and pick up some garbage goals.

There is no logic this year in 7AA. I do see Elk River knocking Andover out of the playoffs this year. Everything else.....no clue. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
