Could well be. It just seems that most programs prefer to have their players in BAA unless they are going to see decent varsity minutes. But it’s hard to argue with East’s results over the years.

Question:
Are any of the first year varsity Seniors that were on DE team skipped 2nd year of bantams?

No I don’t believe any of them came up early from bantams.

Why East? Their bantam team is alright but I don't see them being much better than this year.
I'd say they'll bounce back because they had 3 freshman playing varsity, and another 6 playing JV, so may be why their bantam team is only alright. Also had 9 sophomores playing JV, so all these kids will be a year older and have a chance to get bigger stronger faster and compete for a section title next year
Six freshman on JV? Unless they are not Bantam eligible, that seems to make little sense from a development perspective. The competition may be slightly better, but you’re playing half the number of games.
Stang, I think it has something to do with a pretty big disconnect between DAHA and the East coaching staff.

Think about this, Ryder Donovan NEVER played bantams. Came up as an 8th grader to HS. Obviously he is very talented, but imagine being a kid going from no checking in peewees to playing against HS seniors.

Ding ding ding.. you hit the nail on the head. Have heard bantam AA coach told players last season they weren’t going to run any systems just play. How do you not teach kids any type of system at bantams.

Donovan moved up because they didn’t let him move up to bantams early.

My days of posting in the 7AA thread are behind me. Most, if not all, are very happy about this. All of my posts and efforts will be in 7A because that’s were our program belongs. High school and youth hockey. See you, losers 👍

Well I’m not totally going away. CEC will be my favorite singleA program. And Duluth East will be my favorite AA program here on out. So I will be in the AA thread still.

No silly. When CEC and Duluth East play head to head, I’m 100% for the purple. Outside of that head t head matchup, I like both teams. A or AA. I do this with high school baseball as well. Esko baseball and Cloquet baseball. 👍🤓

As usual you talk about of both sides of your mouth; your leaving and your back. Forum was more insightful after you went hiding under a rock in Esko after getting roasted on here

Kniven being kniven: I’m out. I’m partially out.

My hypothesis: The paper mill fumes affect kniven more than others in the St. Louis River area.
