Sorry for the ignorance and not keeping up, but is section seven seeding locked into the formula it was in the recent past? Or is that gone? If it still exists is there a link that has the current seedings (or most recent)? If so I'd appreciate someone sharing the link. Thanks!
QRF still seeds this section. I don't have the link because....well....

But... their seniors have a boat load of section playoff experience, they have two ELITE senior defensemen & at least raw talent wise, this is as “relatively “ weak as their top 3 rivals have been in recent years. So should they advance, absolutely, because they have (generally) more talented, more playoff experienced players. But will they? As I’ve noted before, only if they collectively (players & coaches) can handle the moment of playing in pressure packed elimination games. And that isn’t proven until you actually do it. ☝️
Boatload of playoff experience? Elk River had a shipload of it and blanked the bed. Tried it all, go up the night before, stop and do jumping jacks at Tobias, even had the bus break down in 17. Bottom line this year is the best shot as the competition for the title appears to be down. Need to win one at minimum before the the southern schools can try and get a venue evaluation...

It will be a battle! I thought the Jacks looked pretty good at times against Hermantown. Young goaltender was pretty solid, too. Nice win today against a good WBL team. Coach Chiodo has had Rapids playing playoff style hockey the last couple weeks and they’ve really tightened it up defensively. Getting outshot but not giving up many quality chances. Hope we get some of injured boys back by sectionals.

I’m thinking this game should be a dogfight. I have complete confidence in Jacob Walsh in goal. Galatz is a beast. Cade Anderson hopefully can lead our young defensemen.

Duluth East could finish beyond the tiebreaker margin, which they will do. Plus, I don’t really care. I like us going to Duluth East for the quarterfinals. 👍. PS. 2 years ago, my purple got blitzed at home in the Quarterfinals vs. Duluth Marshall.

If C-E-C beats Rapids and forest lake loses out witch I think they are going too ,Cloquet is getting the third seed. Cloquet still can get the 3 even if they lose to Grand Rapids depending how much they drop for a loss, because Forest Lake is most likely losing out.

Don't bet on WBL beating Flake. Not the way Sager has this team playing right now. #-o

Good news on the injury front for Grand Rapids it sounds like hunter well be back for playoffs, hopefully Joey can come back for playoffs also. I know Rapids has won 5 games without hunter and the last two without Joey but Rapids can only get better with the There top two forwards on the ice.

EH, that is good news for the Rapids team. Any news on the Delgreco? I had heard there was 3 forwards out, tough timing for the injuries.

Especially if Cloquet gets the 3rd seed & FL the 4th (with DE 5th) then I believe Andover & DE are on a collision course for a week from Saturday at Amsoil. And to truly exorcise the Section 7AA Curse... one of the teams the TC team needs to beat is da HOUNDS 😉 Then to achieve a full exorcism, it’s gotta be either Cloquet or GR the following Thursday night in the final. The Huskies (aka BLACK CLOUD Tornadoes) will be tuning up & possibly turning up...their velocity rate of black cloud revolutions Saturday night...while hosting Blaine on Senior night!

Goehring is the other forward out...broken wrist I believe. Been out for a while now.

Rapids with another nice win tonight. 3-0 at Cloquet. This has to be one of the most consistent GR teams in quite some time. Every game looks the same. They either get a win or lose a close one. Very fun team to watch. I’m just an observer from far away but it looks to me like this team is really buying into what is being coached and it is really showing itself on the ice.

Rapids is definitely locked in as we roll into sections. Playing lights out defense. Haven't allowed more than 2 goals in over a month. Clafton GAA below 1.70. Cloquet was getting pretty frustrated late in the game, couldn't buy a goal so laid a cheap cross check against Young in the closing minute. Fortunately that was it for shenanigans.
