East schooled by Minnetonka.

Rapids got taken to the wood shed by Holy Family 6 - 0 outshot 18 to 38.

They are 4 and 11 and on pace to match last seasons "success" .

Hermantown East Cloquet up next.

Come on people, outside of 23 and the goalies its like watching a glorified junior gold team hit the ice.

Incoming bantams would have to carry the load in 2020.

Kniven is right dumpster fire of a section with a full blown Ferguson style riot.
To compare this years Rapids team to last season is grossly inaccurate. I couldn’t watch last year. This year they have made improvements and been competitive against top 15 teams. Last year they could hardly muster 5 shots on goal against anyone. It was like the 0-16 Detroit Lions last year. Sure, a 6-0 loss to HF doesn't look good, but this team continues to deal with illness. I know vs MG Marinucci said it was so bad on the bench with the coughing he wasn't sure who he could put on the ice. When healthy this is a team that can almost knock off Moorhead or WBL and score 8 goals vs Forest Lake. When the entire team is ill I gotta credit them with still going out there and battling no matter the score. I also yawn at the Duluth East result. Randolph will have that team ready come mid February. Back to Rapids, it's not like anyone ever said they'd be a top 10 team this year. They have made strides in the right direction this season. To say otherwise is as false as saying strength training interferes with speed on the ice, I still can't believe in 2018 there are people that stupid. Nonetheless, I certainly hope that every player on each team has the goal of winning the section title, otherwise why are you even playing?

I agree with DJ GR is way better but they are going to
Struggle because they are so sophomore heavy this
Year Anyone that new this team all ready New this was
Going to be the down year last year was just
What happens when a small program that loses
4 D1 players that were supposed to be there .
They had no incoming help from the juniors and
Sophomores and yes i know it would have
Been four D 1 players last year if anyone watched
Bantam hockey with that group new That Rykar was
Just as good if not better then Blake or Gavin but
He left to Florida so instead of bashing Are program
From not just quitting and wanna go A support them
And yes Rapids is going to get better every year with
Actual in coming help from the underclass .

They lost a top player named Rykar? I never heard of this player or that he left. I don’t really pay attention to individual players at the youth level, just watch the rankings.

ryker brazerol Would have been a big deal to the 17 and 18 teams left for football in Florida. But the point was the
key loses a small program Can’t withstand that bantam team
Also had only 2 first years so everyone new this year was the down

Yes, I see that.
But EdinaHopkins is a Grand Rapids JV player.
Do something to get Lee on here talking about Randolph and I will buy you a beer (but it cannot be something to get you sent off to the Lessers).

Their top line is legit, led by Daulton Saltness. He looks like a good D1 forward. That top line can skate and pass with the best. Forest Lake’s defense is ok, goaltending was awful the game I saw and gave up 10 to CDH. Shut down that top line and it’s game over IMO. Forest Lakelikes to play run and gun and take risks which gets them a lot of goals, but they give up a lot too because it opens up odd man rushes the other way against a couple sieve goalies. That’s why you see such high scoring in their games.

Interesting. I’ll probably take the bus down with the boys for that one. I like their rink, and Forest Lake seems to always play my purple tough.....

You can call me a JV player that’s fine idc , just keep pushing for You’re team to move down to the jv level and ask the iron range how that worked for them. They have the same number of kids try out as rapids does and they are now a dumpster fire of what
They used to be. I only replied because it’s the same guy bashing
Rapids but I would rather have Rapids struggle for a few years then jump down to jv hockey and never push the kids to be the best.

Lots of young guys getting game experience I agree. If the goalie sticks around they should be .500 team in 2020 with the bantam move ups.
