An interesting game in that these boys (young men) know each other fairly well. Its a bragging right game. And determines who gets the 2 seed behind Farmington.

Elliot cast that line for a big fish (Stats) before you bit on it. Stats is a smart one that avoids the cheap bait.

Just funny its one of your 67 "games of the day" when the last 3 meetings have gone in favor of the defending state champs by a combined score of 22-3.

LN is 9-1 vs South/Elko North since Justin Kloos graduated (pretty much THE only reason South/Elko North won any of those games from 2010-2012).

People hype it up as a "rivalry" but its not a "rivalry" when the other team is irrelevant.

Sure, South/Elko North is supposedly playing better than they were a month ago, so lets see what our boy Hockey Below the Cities can cook up for tonight. Rumor is youth hockey's biggest celebrity Tony Scott will be there taking pictures. Must mean its important!

Eagles now leading 2-1 after 2. Skippers on the PP for the 1st minute and a half in the 3rd.

Sitting with tonka fans.its my understanding that the ep goalie left tonka a few years ago, so this is personal for both sides. Tonka kids shouting "total hockey" at the EP goalie for several minutes at beginning of second. Not sure of the meaning behind that, but it appeared to frazzle him. Mercifully someone made them stop.

South tied it a 1-1 early in the second, North scored two late in the period to go up 3-1 after 2.

$-1 North, the North AD's twitter site (@LNHS Panthers) showing a commercial for Shock Top Beer.......

Blaine beats Irondale 5-0. Shots were 52-13. Tufte with the hatty. He needs 4 goals over the last 4 games to reach 40.

Let's just say Durocher used to work at a TH and after his time there, rest assured he'd never be hired there again...

Ah ha. That fits with the story I was told. I must say that it makes me question the EP coaching staff and their ability to pick the best players for their team. Also, both of their JV goalies are big, and the one in the net last night played a hell of a game. Why not pick one of them instead? I would say that karma is getting back at the coaches for allowing that negative energy in their net.

I hate to leave a game with a tie score. It's like kissing your cousin. It did appear that Tonka frustrated Midddlestat over and over again.

Also, I really enjoyed watching that sophomore from Tonka #19. Hope to make it to more games to watch him.
