Karl/Lee, several notable pundits seem to doubt BSM will make it out of Section, even if undefeated in reg season at 24 -0 - 1 . With your vast historical knowledge , has that situation ever happened before?

2006-07 Holy Angels lost in the 5AA finals 6-4 to Burnsville. They were 26-0-1 at the time.

1957-58 St Paul Johnson lost in the Region 4 semifinals. They were 18-0-2 at the time.

The 1949-50 East Greyhounds had a final season record of 7-1. All I know is that they made the Region 7 tournament; no idea what happened other than they didn't make it to State that year.

If there are other examples, I don't know of them. I don't have the W/L records for every team in every season.

Wow , I got to come up with a harder more obscure question that Lee can't answer in under a half hour!

Your thinking of AHA vs Apple Valley game when David Fischer and Kyle Medvec never left the ice

After that game, the pull tabs were hot over at joe sensors 8)

Cmon stop opening up the wounds.

He is right. In 2006/2007 AHA was upset at Mariucci by Burnsville. They were 24-0-1, the Finals were delayed a couple of days because of a snow storm and the game was Saturday morning. I know, I carried the second place trophy out because no one wanted it. Tough day for the STARS.
The year before AHA had 1 loss, probably SSM, and were upset by AV and some good defensive play by Medvec, Fischer and the goalie.
