Shouldn't this be in your other topic of greatest teams of all time? I am pretty sure there is no discussion as Edina takes it all. 8)

At least the beloved Edina teams have their trophy! Will they hang that trophy in braemer? I imagine they should. Keep chasing those trophy's HORNETS! Just remember 90% if the excel cheering for duluth east with 5 seconds left when east sealed the W vs the most arrogant, hated, team in the state!

I guess I am confused how when a city's 3rd best high school aged team goes to play other state's best teams that is considered to be a "chasing trophies" move.
I also don't get how the city and association as a whole is chasing trophies when they play at the highest level at each age group.
But maybe I am just too arrogant too see the correlation.

Spell it out for you!!! Edina no trophies by high school team, bantams, pee wee, etc. the pride or arrogance gets to them with no championship banners or trophies so they send their jf golds to get them their trophy!!!! Maybe Giles will go down there and intimidate refs so you get a couple bad calls in your favor. Championship banners for 2014-2015 season 0!!! I love it.

Incorrect, Edina Peewee B1 won state.
Also, you get trophies for 2nd and 3rd place. So the high school team and 2 bantam teams received trophies.

Junior gold B also won state and had a perfect season doing so, which is impressive since they play about 40 games and unlike Junior gold A, most communities have a team, even St. thomas fields one.

Nice touch on the STA reference.

Edina defeats Orange Lutheran, the state champ of California, 8-4. Now sitting at 2-0.

Also for the record, JGA and USA Hockey were going to send a representative regardless of who won state. Had Wayzata pulled it off on Monday, they would be the ones in St. Louis.

Read the whole sentence. I stated champiinships not participation trophies! Edina people kill me. They reference B level teams, really impressive pee wee B's. Wooooow. I guess I missed that one.

Not even from Edina, ironically I'm an Eden Prairie guy. Can't believe people are bashing Edina over a national tournament. They're our representative like it or not, and so far they've done nothing but affirm my convictions regarding the strength of MHL JGA hockey and MN hockey as a whole.

Also, small correction: Edina won by a final score of 9-4

I read the whole sentence, I quoted it, it said no trophies. You made a second sentence that said no championships, which was also incorrect, but I corrected it for you.

It is interesting how peewee B1 means nothing for you when it is the 3rd best team for edina at that level, ironically just like JGA for high school aged kids. Yet, that is trophy chasing and is the cause for an uproar.

Also, one last clarification. I am an Edina fan, I went and played for the Hornets. But I am not an Edina person exactly. I am from Richfield

70 penalty minutes combined for both teams including four, 10 min misconducts. Sounds like the teams do not like each other one bit.

Sounds like good old fashioned Edina trained hockey. Several players on varsity who were out there for one reason to mix it up and cause penalties!

Only one kid on the team had any varsity time, played 2-3 games as a fourth liner so probably only had like 5 shifts. Doubt he was trying to earn is spot by taking a penalty.
The California team had 40 of the 70 minutes and 3 of the 4 misconducts. You really like to jump to conclusions.

That God/Giles joke was not as funny the second time

Wow, the level of idiocy is astounding.

USA Hockey, and just about every tournament operator, always want to include Minnesota. Minnesota Hockey sends the JGA state this year, which I think is the first time, and it's a pretty big step at the national level. (Colorado Springs.)

Nobody in Minnesota cares much about this level, or so I thought. Grand Meadow Hockey Fan cares deeply. I guess that it not exist or something.

I don't like Edina, I also don't like Duluth East. But when there is a national tournament, I cheer for the team representing the State of Hockey. I hope Edina keeps kicking ass down there. I wish Edina could of sent their varsity team and sewn the State of Hockey logo on their jersey.

Edina won 6-5 against Carroll, Indiana. They continued their trend of playing short handed with 42 penalty minutes
They won their division and go on to play Idaho falls

I don't think spreadsheets are able to cheer for hockey teams but people at the Xcel are able to
