Almosthappy, what was your take on the North game yesterday afternoon since you must have been there? Not sure what game you were watching but Eagan sure didn't score 3 even strength goals.... AND I woould think that if North does win close to 30 games this year they will have won the State championship so thank you so much for your support of this very good team!!!!

I think 30 wins will leave LN in exactly the same position as last year which is a game short. Maybe they should then change there name to the Patriots instead of the Panthers? A bit strange to see Almost almost ripping his own Wildcats. Anyway penalties are part of the game and LN giving up 3 to the kitty cats who struggle to score is questionable. And if the Cats can get under the skin of the Panthers that easily to draw penalties how will they respond against Edina? Hate to think it but Cake with the 3 peat.

I was not at the game with Eagan but I saw North play Prior Lake and it just seems like the panthers like to play chippy and get under the skin of the teams they are playing.

And get under the skin of the other teams' fans as well.

almostkilledme to root for Edina in last year's final, but if it's a rematch I'll once again hold my nose, ignore my conference/South of the River pride, and vote class over crass. :(

You know what the nice part about that will be if they do both make it back to the championship game? You will have very little stress and your voice will have had plenty of time to rest after your wildcats gets extinguished in the section quarters.

From what I have seen this year LN and Edina are top 2 clubs. I like STA quite a bit but really think their goaltending has a lot to be desired the times I've seen them. Nothing against any other teams but I hope we see a rematch in March.

Shakopee is the only team remaining between North and an undefeated regular season. I thought there would be a stumble somewhere along the way but it hasn't happened. Quite an accomplishment with the schedule the team has played.

Nice job finishing the game in 3rd by LN last night. EV did their best mid 90's New Jersey Devils inspired neutral zone trapping, clutch and grabbing impression and kept it close for majority of the game.

Does LVN also have an advantage in rink? I mean home rink, which is a bigger sheet of olympic size rink. Both their girl and boys teams are great undoubtfully with very good top end players.

Not saying they play on their home rink all the times, actually when they are on the road they don't for the most of the times. Personally I feel it is easy to adjust to play on the NHL size rink when you are used to (practice and play) on the Olympic size rink. But it is probably not the case in the other way around.

This is not a doubtful question to the success of LVN teams - boys and girls, just want to hear the expert opinions on the effect of rink size.

Congrats to the Panthers on an undefeated regular season.

They join the rare company of the Rams, Hounds, Jags, Pioneers, Warroad, Hornets....

Not losing yet. 10-0 over century this morning. Bring on Farmington. Everyone can keep complaining about 1AA and lack of competition. Can only play what's in front of us. Continue hating haters. Boys aren't taking foot off gas.

I have to agree that North is the team to beat this year, but I have lost all respect with their coaching staff. I was at the game today and saw North's first line pp come out with 5 min. left in the game. North is up 9-0 with total control/domination from the drop of the puck. So why bring the top pp out?

Well we could give a call over to bluelightspecial (best friends and dinner buddies with eigs LOL) and have him ask for ya?

I'll tell ya why. When you are a worse than bad team like century and you keep running your mouth, taking cheap shots at guys, running goalie with intent to injure the kid, etc when you didn't have a sniff from time warmups ended sometimes you need to get a little message sent to you.

Farmington better bring their A game next Thursday or they are gonna find themselves in running time too.

D zone. Watch the game. Open your eyes. When you are getting you ass kicked up an down the ice over and over as over again it's time to shut your mouth and be humble. Not take cheap shots, cock off and try to hurt kids. Century needs to opt down. With all due respect, I can promise you that LN coaches aren't losing any sleep over you not respecting their coaching.

I don't remember.... Did Edina have their top power play unit out at the end of last years championship game?

Not sure, you tell me? How does last years State Championship game have anything to do with either LN or Edina's teams this year? Different year, different teams. Last time I checked the last game the TEAMS from THIS YEAR played Cake was checking one off in the 'L' column.

I see where Sats kids get their mouths.....1 got a misconduct for it, he probably should have had another.

The top line played two shifts in the third period, you can't really complain about that. Putting them out on the power play at 9-0 when Century had sat their troublemakers a few shifts before maybe could have been avoided.

Anyone who values sportsmanship should have turned away from that game knowing going in it would be a train wreck. It largely was. North got out with all their players eligible which was good officiating as Century tried to draw them into at least 1 fracas and succeeded.

I think that the suggestion is that YOU are the same LN supporter THIS YEAR that YOU were LAST YEAR. And that you calling out somebody THIS YEAR for supporting an outclassed team that played chippy even before the whuppin' started is pretty funny, after the way that the team that you support showed a similar lack of composure in LAST YEAR's tourney final.

Like the pot calling the hockey puck black.

Comprend? :)
