Only 5 seniors. Wow, I didn't know the team was that young.
As I said last week, I never count out a Lechner coached team. I may be right, if not the state this year, probably next year. Nevertheless, a bright future awaits.

A bright future indeed - with some strong Mahtomedi current and future talent. The Sampair cousins have been impactful, and there's another on the way. Lang is making an impression as a freshman. A. Johnson and J. Johnson hoping to contribute soon. The DeMars brothers incoming as well.

All good things for HM. Not so much for the next several years of Mahtomedi. I have a feeling the competitive games we've seen over the past few years will become....less so.

Welp they have to come from somewhere. The city of Hill Murray is, shockingly, not a real place. They do, however, draw almost every player (and student) from within a few miles of the school. Mahtomedi will continue to be just fine. Who in their section is in line to challenge them now or anytime in the future? They're all but guaranteed a spot at State every year.
