Both teams are young this year,this is always a good rivalry is section 8A,both coaching staffs are great,but I'm going to go with thief river falls 3-2 in overtime. I like the coaching of thief river falls. Tim is an outstanding coach!,warroad coaching staff is very good as well!,should be another great game between these 2 rivals! Good luck to both teams!

Trf is strong and Warroad always plays tough. I'm thinking that trf wins this one but it's only the first meeting. Bragging rights is the only thing on the line. Finally there is more than one team that can come out of section 8. It's gonna be a good battle between whs,trf, and egf.

This is also the "first" glimpse as to who could be the #2 seed for the post season, it is only the first meeting between these 2 teams,but with warroad playing EGF once and loosing, TRF has a chance to put warroad with 2 losses in section play,and put their sights on EGF. I'm ready for a barn burner tonight

I was at this game,both teams looked to be pretty evenly matched,trf seemed to do more of the forechecking and control of the game (in my opinion), but it was a lot of back and forth as well as middle ice hockey. Trf out shot warroad 24-22 (not sure if that's exact), neither team did anything on power plays...I liked the play of trf better then warroad(though I am a little bias) in my opinion trf looked better and had more control of the game. Warroad won 2-1 in overtime. It was a great game,as I was expecting it to be, it always is when these 2 teams meet. Can't wait to see the trf-EGF game. That one should also be a great hockey game.
