Cloquet--- impressive up north....they should a lot of fight and heart........very impressed with the Lumberjacks, and oh ya they have this guy, his name is David Brown, 6 goals and an assist the last two games, he plays defense :D :D

Roseau---Well ya, outscored opponents 27-1

And from 7A Hibbing, they went out and gave the #3 and #1 teams in the state a run for their money and actually knocked off #3 I'Falls, they turned up their game postseason

Kind of hard to find disappointments, almost all the 1-4 teams advanced to the semifinals in their respective sections

Defintely Woodbury. They outscored their opponents (Eagan, Eastview, Rosemount) 23-5 in 3 games. David Eddy was outstanding throughout those games with 5 goals and 4 assists.

Definately #4 Cloquet knocking off #1 Duluth East 6-5 in the semis and then #2 Anoka 3-2 in the finals, David Brown pickin up 6 of the 9 total goals in those contests... find me someone who can out do that performance as a 4 seed

You have to love sections 2AA and 5AA, in the semi and finals 5 of the 6 games went to OT. That is what you call competive awesome hockey.

Disappointed in Rosemount, Minnetonka (2 goal lead slipped away)
I would have liked to have seen these two teams play this week...

Impressed w/ Woodbury's run, Cloquet's run, and Blaine's big win over Centennial

The 2AA championship game was one of the BEST hockey games ive ever seen, too bad Edina and Burnsville are in the same section. I think you mean 6AA instead of 5AA though.

I gotta agree with the Section 7 standpoint, since other than 5A, it was the only sectionals I saw.

That Brown kid from Cloquet was HOT! He was there when they needed him, and had great hockey sense. No question about it.

Jokinenen from Cloquet wasn't that impressive in the semi-final game, but what's one game to detract from a whole season.

I still like that DeCenzio kid from Hibbing. Scrappy, good fore/backchecker, had immense intensity...I just liked his hockey sense of style. This kid could go places.

Duluth Marshall had a host of players who looked good.

That goaltender from Saint Cloud Cathedral, Maiers, was on top of his game and made some incredible saves.

Impressive:

Cloquet
David Brown
Austin Hatch
Coach Esse; Cloquet
Burnsville, despite losing they player very well and almost knocked off Edina what a great game.
Anders Lee
Zach Buddish
Jacob Meyers never once was he rattled by the Minnetonka hype
Anoka's 7-0 win over rapids
Roseau's dominance
Berkeley Scott vs. Cloquet despite the loss he played his heart out
Jake Hendrickson (same explanation as Scott but even more so)
Burnsville's goalie
Anthony DeCenzo
Nate Schmidt from SCC
Woodbury
David Eddy

Not Impressive
Duluth East
Rob A. Johnson, despite his third period efforts his team wasn't ready to go and either was he until the third.
Derek Forbert looked nervous
Justin Jokinen
Minnetonka, no desperation when BSM had the momentum
Marshall Everson, good player but Buddish and Lee carried him all night and covered mistakes he made
Chris Student, didn't do much for me
Tyler Barnes scored a scrappy goal in the final but was floating around and played undisciplined hockey
Grand Rapids
Anoka in the section final
International Falls
Moorhead, they played they're worst period against Roseau and we're down 2-1 after one period and played very well the second and third but somehow go it handed to them by the Rams. Thought it'd be closer
Rosemount getting destroyed by Woodbury

White Bear had two extremely enjoyable games in sections. Well, three, if you count their game against Tartan. Their game against Roseville was amazing. Although their Hill game ended in a loss, I thought it was a great game with solid goal tending from Collette.
Aaahh, douche.

Centennial 9-1 over Maple Grove at the fair grounds. This has to be one of the worst performances for the crimson.

I should've recognized this topic for what it was; an opportunity for people with nothing better to do with their lives than bash players. Pathetic.
