State tourn. picks results

Post by east hockey »

Well, the Orono win over Warroad gave a ton of folks their first incorrect pick. Five posters are 3-0 heading into the Hibbing-SCC tilt; Froomcat, balls, MNPuckster27, AllAmerican17 and tenders30

For what it's worth, Hibbing is favored in this next game 46-42 by the pickers. Should be a good one.

Lee

After today's morning and afternoon games, balls is the only person with all eight games correctly picked. Three people are just one pick behind, and 11 more have picked six correct winners so far. Everyone has at least one correct pick, even counting those who only submitted picks for Class AA.

Lee

question

Post by skipper »

if i picked warroad to beat orono, then warroad to beat hibbing does orono simply take warroad's place, or do i automatically not get orono v. hibbing right?

I believe you automatically get it wrong. It only makes sense to do it that way. For those who picked Warroad to win state, they should already have those 3 picks wrong.

First of all, Just Call Me Puck had the interpretation correct.

Second, with four games to go, it appears the field has been reduced to two; balls and AllAmerican17.

If Breck beats Orono, balls clinches. (man, that sentence just doesn't look right<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> )

If Orono and Wayzata win, AllAmerican17 wins it.

If Orono and East win, then we have a tie. balls is closer to Minnesota's SOG in last nights game so he'd win the tiebreaker. He picked 35, AllAmerican17 picked 34. The Gophers had 39.
