Title basically, which Class A section is the best this year? Deepest? Has the most legitimate state contenders. 5A or 3A imo, both have a ton of exceptional teams that could win state. <p></p><i></i>

I can't believe this is actually a topic. . . 5A is definetly the best class A section. . . top 3 for either class as well. <p></p><i></i>

5A is definitely good, 3A is definitely not bad either. red wing and st. thomas are solid this year, while lourdes should be a pretty good team. northfield has some decent juniors, and could do some damage, but i will agree 5A is number 1. <p></p><i></i>

Without a doubt is right. 5A takes the cake for this thread. Until 3A can prove its dominance otherwise. Even without BSM this year they still have dominant teams in Breck, Blake, Totino, and St Louis Park. You autmatically know that whoever is coming out of 5A will be rearing to go come tourney time. SIX OUT OF THE PAST SEVEN YEARS A TEAM FROM 5A HAS BEEN IN THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. AND OF THOSE SIX TIMES, A TEAM FROM 5A HAS WON IT 5 TIMES. (the only loss was TG last year which was an effing amazing game)<br><br>Don't even give me this 3A ishbosh <p></p><i></i>

As a fan of a 3A team i still cannot say that 3A is the best section. This title clearly belongs to 5A, having four solid teams or so in the mix. 3A has 2 solid teams and a decent team with Lourdes... i would rank 3A after 5A in order of best sections for Class A but overall it belongs to 5A for sure.... <p></p><i></i>

I'll give it to 5a this year. 8 has lost alot, warroad will be down, LOW has seen its run of good hockey end for now. Not sure how EGF will be, but it'll be TRF goin to state this year from 8 <p></p><i></i>
