No they have a hockey team, that one post was just a joke. THey have a team, although they are usually at the lower end up AA teams they do exist. <p></p><i></i>

How come it isn't listed on their website then? I am from the Area the Winona team is not very strong but the community itself is not very rich. Which means that even though its a decent size town they get the numbers out in the Youth Hockey. Also Winona Schools were having trouble with funding the Winona Public that is and were talkign abotu cutting such sports as Hockey. If this were to happen I had heard a rumor that Cotter was going to just have the High School team then. If this happen I think you would see a better product on the ice. As in all Sports in Winona Cotter is by far the better team. In football Winona went (0-9) while Cotter made it to the Section Final. I think if Cotter would take over the high school program you could see them be more sucessful. Because it would also allow them to go Class A hockey. And they wouldnt have to compete in the Big Nine I think it would be a much better solution for Winona hockey. I tried to bring up the Cotter topic earlier on the board but it was locked. It would be intrestign I think Winona Cotter In section 1A give them a few years wiht the right coach they could become very competive. Instead they are stuck in the Big Nine Confrence and Section 1AA where there is no chance for sucess. <p></p><i></i>
