Re: hands down
It really depends on how you judge best fans. I guess we are going quality according to WBL. I am a JHS alum as you can guess by the name, but I admit the JHS fans last year gave themselves a little too much credit for their chants and rowdiness last year. I have never actually seen WBL in person but I have heard they have some good ones and are also some of the classier ones. I'd give them the nod in the metro based on their reputation, but I know there are a lot of rowdy ones up north.

Re: hands down
sorry ER, i just had to state the facts. I mean for example last night at our football game we played mounds view. They had about 3x more students then we did, but they didnt do anything. But all of our students did chants and everything. So you can have a million people there and if you dont do anything no one cares.....
The curse lives on.....

Re: hands down
well i will have to admit 06, you caught me. i am a jefferson fan.. and maybe sometimes we do give ourselves a little too much credit but come on now, our entire student section got kicked out of a game. i remember your fans last year, they were pretty intense as well. keep on postin man

We will See
True true, quality does matter and yet this year we will see how JHS fans and hockey team are. I believe we will see some high quality fans as well as a team upcoming here when the season starts in a few weeks

Re: We will See
i'm going to have to agree with both jhshockey and wblbears. i have seen the jaguar fans at their best and also at their worst. wbl had a very intense student section last year at the state tournament. size doesn't matter, it's the level of intensity in the cheers and chants. the season is starting up soon, so we will see what fans can prove they are the best fans in the state. so far my vote is for jefferson though, they can be pretty nasty.

Re: We will See
ok so the story is: near the middle of the hockey season the entire student section from jefferson got kicked out of the game at eastview because we were "way too rowdy" and "being distractions to the players on the other team" we started saying things to their goalie such as calling him a mamas boy and the kids mom flipped out and the cops escorted the entire student section out of the rink. it was pretty intense, so i guess my point was i'm pretty sure jefferson is the only school to have done that for quite some time.

good luck with your goal though! i'm sure you will be able to achieve it, especially if you play at eastview.

Wasn't there something with the EV cheerleaders where the one cheerleader hit (lightly) one of our fans? I wasn't paying total attention, but I thought we were clapping when they passed, then one of them hit someone with their pompom, then someone said something to the cheerleaders, and they complained to the police. Correct me if I'm wrong.
-------------------

Catholics have churches, fat people have Wisconsin, and I have the Pawtucket Patriot brewery.- Peter Griffin

Let me correct you!
Koren88:

The reason the fans got kicked out was that the goalies mommy went nuts when our fans started chanting things at him when he couldn't have stopped a beach ball.

The athletic director was not there and mommy convinced a spineless asst. principal to call the cops and have the students kicked out. ( the principal from Eastview later apologized to our principal for the over reaction )

The score ended up 10-0 and when they came to BIG it was payback time for mommy and junior. I saw her crying to our AD to stop them and he told her to go sit down and watch the game or leave!

Re: Let me correct you!
I know that was the main reason, but I am pretty sure that there was an incident involving the EV cheerleaders also. But you are right, that was the main reason.
-------------------

Catholics have churches, fat people have Wisconsin, and I have the Pawtucket Patriot brewery.- Peter Griffin

Nice Change!
Koren88:

I see you changed your message at the bottom, The Fred Smoot one about "80% of the world is covered by water and the rest is covered by Fred Smoot" was pretty well demolished by Steve Smith last week!

Re: Nice Change!
Yeah. I stopped caring about the Vikings after the season started, and have gotten into Familiy Guy a lot more. I had to put in a Family Guy quote, and it kind of pokes fun at Wisconsin, which is an added bonus.

Plus, I actually have Smith and Delhomme on my FF team (not the Minnhock league- my other one), so as I saw there was no chance, I was hoping for a 300 yd game by Smith with 3 TD's. I'll take 200 and a score.
-------------------

Catholics have churches, fat people have Wisconsin, and I have the Pawtucket Patriot brewery.- Peter Griffin
Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... oren808 at: 11/3/05 7:28 pm
