Last year we came up with the idea but the follow through wasn't there. This year many of us have met in person and it would be fun to meet the faces behind the 'alter egos'. How about Tom Reid's bar/restaurant between sessions on Friday sound? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"> - any takers?

Sounds good to me , but I will be wearing my 'Santa Claus Suit' disguise throughout the whole state tourney to avoid the media hounds who will undoubtedly be on the lookout for my every step like they always are. Just like up in Warroad for the sectional Championship. Nobody noticed a thing. Except for a bunch of 'tots' who were badgering me as to why they got the wrong size Bauers for Xmas last year. I nearly missed the 'go ahead' goal by Selvog because of that. Ptown ... I think the strib and pioneer press will be looking for you for a feature story about the 'holy water' thing. You're excused from Tom Reid's this year ... we will be cheering wildly for Princeton because of your promotion and public relations for the team. We'll see you on Television Wednesday. Congrats to the Spuds. They seem to always get better as the year goes on. If your goalie is hot you never know? Excel next week will seperate the contenders from pretenders pretty quick. Have fun and take a break. Channel 9 should do all your work for you just fine.

where is it that all the minnhock "alter egos" will be meeting.? haha i think this is actually a great idea. im not REAL familiar with the area around the Xcel,but is it very far from teh arena? thanks

I can't make it Friday as I'll be hanging out with my boys, but I'll be in St.Paul all day Thursday so if anyone's interested in meeting at Tom Reid's in between sessions on Thursday drop a note here.

I will make every effort to be there. Ptown, you absolutely have to do something so we know who you are when we see you on TV. Do something with the water or whatever but tell us what it is.

Vid, If you guys go to Toms let me know I will be there to talk to you all. As for Joe's comments.... Ptown, pretty certain you have to wear the MSHSL sanctioned helmut on the bench while you are conducting your craft as team manager. How about a good "Groucho Marks" set of glasses and the big nose. That would be a great way to lighten the boys up and get a good laugh over the channel 9 feed! Pull it off son and you get a round of free cokes at Tom Rieds.

Don't worry about Ikola being there as for the hat I think they sent it to the rafters over in Bramear. He'll be there to watch his two grandsons take it all the way to the Championship. Becker to Becker a shot and a GOAL!!! GO Spuds!!

NotBader - Sorry to hear you won't be in attendance this year as a spectator or wearin' the stripes. Not sure even if you were there that you would get any cheap shots at that Catholic Boy, Slapshooter. You'll know it's me. I am going all out for state. Wearing a black suit, and a black tie, with an Orange dress shirt(P-town colors). Complented nicely with a goalie helmet. (either all black or one with a tiger on it). Also you will be able to tell by my hair, I have long brown curly hair. Can't do anything goofy, I am managin in style this year. For those of you who are curious, Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub is located 2 blocks from the Xcel Energy Center on W 7th St, going away from downtown. By the way, ptown tigers, as a now-graduated, long-tenured SM that has been to a state tournament, savor every moment of it. Coming out of the tunnel (OK, my tournament experience was with football at the Dome) onto the field, it's the most awesome feeling in the world, and you're never going to forget it. It's something to tell your grandchildren about. Have fun.
