Somebody who wasted their money going to the Hermantown game tonight can answer that one. Last I heard it was 9 to 0.Goldyismoldy wrote:Do they have running time in playoffs?

Yes, players The lack of overall discipline at Grand Rapids over the past few years continues to astound. Yes, this team appeared to lack discipline and it shows in results of some games. Their top end players are very good, but this is and will hurt them. Klatt should pull a Dickie Johnson and let...

#2? Who's better, greenway or Hibbing? Interesting. I'd put it Hermantown JV #1, Greenway #2, Hibbing #3, VirginiaMIB #4. I think Hermantown varsity still might have a slight edge over the Hermantown JV in 7A. Of course they do! I'm saying Hermantown JV takes the varsity teams spot in 7A. That begs...

When did I say I think Delano could give Hermantown a run? They probably have a better shot than anyone did last year, and as I said, Hermantown's depth this year is not quite was it has been the past two or three. But I'm not going to go any further than that quite yet. As I posted that response I...

Saw Hermantown vs. Lakeville South. I was a little underwhelmed, but still think they're the best team in Class A. If and when they get the offense rolling, they'll have a combination of depth and star power that no one else in the class has. Maybe not quite as deep as last year, especially on D, t...

Hibbing 5-9, Greenway 8-12, IMO, having watched this game and also seen Hermantown, Breck, and Delano . Who have you seen them play and what do you think of them? Saw Hermantown vs. Lakeville South. I was a little underwhelmed, but still think they're the best team in Class A. If and when they get ...

Just way too many involved with vested interests, is what it comes down to. I'd pay an extra fifty+ to have some Wisconsin evaluators/coaches do the deciding.... Man, how different things would be! The extra fifty would raise around eight grand.. Plenty of money to bring in 8 - 10 Wisconsin (close)...

How much has the band drank in Hawaii? None of the kids have been drinking but I heard they all got lei'd. I'll leave now... I clearly heard the rim shot off of the snare drum there. The next guy to take this job is going to have to be tough. From all accounts both Rothstien and Klatt were/are nice...

Myself don't see anything wrong with an 18 year old captain putting out a very general note that some things happened that shouldn't have , whole team apologizes to community, and will work hard to avoid in the future. I would certainly very much respect such a step. A quick look at their roster an...

Don't understand how the AD is at fault for players getting caught drinking. She is not at fault for the actions of the dumba$$, entitled and spoiled players who think they above the rules. It was the way it was handled when word got out. This group of kids has always acted like they can do anythin...

Re: Class A semifinal: SPA vs. Hermantown
Does SPA have a chance? Anything could happen on any given day so yes they do have a chance. The coach is going to have to channel Herb and give them The Speech that was first delivered in 1980 in order for them to though. I have watched both of them play a few times and the main difference is goin...

And not all kids go to the USHL. Basically what it boils down to is that there is more than one way to make it to where you want to go and in one guy's opinion his way is best. OTOH, there are lots of reasons that don't need to be hashed out on this forum every 6 months or so to leave and go play ju...

I heard that Rapids has added the 3rd goalie to its vacated roster spot. Yes, sources say a picture sealed his fate and it made the 80 mile trek west to Grand Rapids. No excuse....he screwed up, so his team has to pay the price. Kids...... Are you saying that they are going to need that 3rd goalie ...

So, lets assume that the rumor is true and that a kid got busted for drinking and is out. Does not matter for the purposes of this post who it is. Call this kid Thing 1. When was the roster submitted for state? Is it frozen? If Thing 1 got busted and can't skate that could leave a hole in the team (...

Purely hypothetical but what chance do you guys think a combined SPA/Cathedral team would have going up against Hermantown on Friday? I still feel like if you took the best players from both of these teams it's still and extremely close game with Hermantown. I think that SPA will give them a game. ...

Re: Trent Klatt: No need for players to leave their high sch
Just thought this was an interesting perspective from Trent Klatt who, after all, was the head amateur scout for the Islanders. At about 3:00, he states that there's no need for kids to leave their high school hockey team: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-trUsHzqvs What do you expect him to say? H...

Hockey is a game of the haves and the have nots and is getting even more that way. Right now there are 2 levels or types of kids who play hockey. The first type is the hockey for fun group who plays during the season, might hit a camp or something during the summer but if they do it is a small one a...
