Happy’s rankings??
I may be one of the few, but I’m missing Happy’s rankings this year. In a season like this, I’d be curious to see how his formula played out. Happy, are you out there somewhere??

Re: Games Saturday 1-24-20
Blake wins over EP 5-4. EP scores 6 seconds into game and then was up 3-1 after 1st period. Blake wins 2nd period 2-1 and then scores 2 in the 3rd to win. Tons of speed and skill on the ice tonight. Jackson Blake on the roster but not on the ice. Stream worth a watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: AA Rankings for 1/19/20
Thanks for the catch, and my apologies to the Orioles, who are on my radar as a borderline top 25 team! The way 6AA (and the entire state) is shaping up I could see a spoiler or two on their part come sections. SLP as a potential 7 seed could be someone’s nightmare in Section 6AA. Holy Angels as a ...

Re: AA Rankings for 1/19/20
Nice write up. One correction, Blaine’s 14-0 win was over the other SLP: Spring Lake Park. Last season I’d say what’s the difference, but this year St. Louis Park is quietly putting up some respectable games and they have a top end goalie. 14-0 over St. Louis Park would be mildly shocking. Thanks f...

You are right, they should definitely help! With the way this season is going though, I wouldn’t bet on anybody finishing undefeated from here.

Re: AA Rankings for 1/19/20
Nice in depth research Cavalry showing up for EP will mean 6 D1s on the ice . ( Is the next closest team this year just 2? ) Plus Holt . They may not lose another game this year after end of Jan ? Of course it’s possible, but they were hardly invincible in December before injuries. While Jackson Bl...

Why is Woodbury so BAD in High School hockey? They certainly have the 💰and (I believe) the numbers. Realize many of their best players end up at HM or other privates, but it still doesn’t add up. #-o Correct me if I’m wrong but I think they also combine youth but split for high school with East Rid...

LVN goalie will give them a chance every game this year. 1 goal on 34 shots tonight and 2 goals on 50-some shots against Chaska. Fun to watch.

Re: Games Thursday 12/12/2019
Wayzata up 4-2 on Blake. Maybe Blake just isn't as good as everyone thought. Blake has given up 4 goals on 16 shots. Maybe its just a goaltending issue... Shots were pretty much even in the Hill blowout as well. 27-26 or something. Shots don’t tell the whole story of course, but the trend is notewo...

Who knows? But if he liked Shattuck he’d of stayed their. I don't see it that way at all. So many guys are there for a short period of time and then go play somewhere else. Crosby, Brock Montpetit, Baumgardner, Bellows, and on and on and on and on. Some guys stay until graduation and others don't. ...

62, how could MSHSL ever refute a financial hardship when moving from a private school to public? Seems like a bottomless can of worms. They require the last three years of tax returns and other evidence as documentation of a significant change in income. Of course, “significant” leaves a lot of ro...

Why the bleeding heart O-town? The 1 year rule is known by all parties, including EPHS I have no idea what the rules are. They're always confusing. Tim Tebow didn't go to high school, but was an insane HS football star. Sometimes things don't make sense. I was told (obviously a very short version) ...

At what point do we start guessing which “little” SW suburb he’s talking about here, with over the top expensive STP and upset parents/kids who are cut. Might there already be a thread on this very subject?

Very valid points old timer and the parents/kids who lost spots to these transfers have every right to be triggered. It flat out sucks for these players. What’s especially garbage about the cut players/families situation is paying cash into the forced summer coaches camps for years. They aren’t for...

Three thoughts pop into my mind. 1 - Ken Pauly said on a podcast last year, we don't go into coaching to disappoint kids. It's the opposite. For those where this is the end of their dream, it's now on to a new dream. (I'm paraphrasing. I think his comment is excellent.) 2 - Another reminder that Cu...

Word I also heard is that SEVEN (7) kids from the Portland area have come in to Minnetonka. While Minnetonka gets their share of move-ins, especially at the high school level (see their new goalie), this number is not true. They have 3 Portland area kids, one girl, two boys. EP has about the same a...
