Anybody have updates from today's action? HM welcomed HB back and beat Hibbing 5-0 to win the consolation bracket. Hannah had 3 goals and an assist in her return. Shots were 51-11. come on it was Hibbing not Edina they should have won 10 to 0 on running time When shots are 51-11, that says enough. ...

Final score according to the Pioneer Press website: Minnetonka 4 , Roseville 0 Assuming this is true, it's pretty obvious that the loss of Stecklein and Flug really hurt the Raiders, as did Hill-Murray missing Brandt and SSP missing LaShomb. Sure would have been nice if all teams would have been at...

And another question is whether the seedings will be determined by their QRF rankings or the traditional coaches vote? One advantage of the coaches vote, I suppose, is that they have the ability to take missing players into account when evaluating the results in important games such as these...but ...

The other question that won't be answered in this tournament is who has the inside track on the #1 seed in 4AA, Roseville or HM. And another question is whether the seedings will be determined by their QRF rankings or the traditional coaches vote? One advantage of the coaches vote, I suppose, is th...

Minnetonka 5 HM 0 Not sure Hannah Brandt's presence could have overcome a 5 goal margin. I believe when they played earlier this year HM did beat Mtka 5-4 with Brandt That is correct, HM did beat Tonka with HB in the lineup. May not have made a difference today, but clearly they can beat them shoul...

I would like to see that as well, but Roseville will be without two top players as well. Maybe we can get a repeat at the section finals again with both teams full strength. Well I'd definately rather see it now versus in sections. I've seen enough losses to Roseville the past 15 years for my likin...

Been a special year so far for Hill-Murray. One loss to a Breck team that looks unbeatable and that Hill won't have to beat again. Wins over several perennail powers and now an 8 day break before taking on Tonka again minus their best player. The one question mark the team has is goaltending, and th...

Burnsville 1, Edina 0  (Burnsville's Lauren Bench stops all 42 Edina shots for the shutout) Nice win for Burnsville. Edina has a very solid squad and an outstanding goalie, but they don't have a lot of top end scoring which may catch up with them. Granted they have the easiest section in sta...

Thanks for the report, sounds like a great game, wish I could have been there. Does this mean that the HM goaltending situation is improving? Must have been much better. Junior Goalie played very well for HM. The one goal was a one-timer in a scramble that wasn't her fault. HM's first goal was a pu...

HM v Edina
JV game 2-2 final in OT. Varsity: 2-1 HM wins. Hannah Brandt scores a Kyle Rau like goal on the power play with 2:08 left in 3rd period to lead HM to the win. Hill outshot Edina 2-1, but the game was very even and both teams played pretty well. Both squads played solid defene and despite being outsh...

Spar, There are no passes. This is her and every kid's dream that laces up the skates. to play for her national team. HS is a backseat to that. For H-M it is a chance for them to show they are more than 1 player, that they are a team. Good luck to both. Scary thought for H-M next opponents as she w...

Roseville lost to HM in the section finals last year. I believe only the 2nd time HM had ever beaten them. As I said in the other thread, Irondale is ranked way too low by LPH, Tonka too high and they have Anoka ahead of undefeated Blaine who beat them. Breck would be the easy #1 in AA if they were...

Nice KRACH ranking - big test up North this weekend - if they win 2 you gotta believe! It's easy to believe with Ms. Brandt on your team......she is carrying them right now. Warroad coach on the broadcast tonight called Brandt the best 19 and under player in the world. Said a college coach told him...
