Re: The Hermantown Thread

I am not a believer that you have to move to Hermantown to be noticed. Sorry Stay in school. Stay in your school! So Hermantown builds a D1 feeder like they have and continue to play at the lowest level possible for high school playoffs? Sounds like a free ride to the x to me. Maybe University of M...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Why would they care. They get better arenas, facilities, a new school, etc . Every transfer in makes their home values increase the fields their kids play in better. I could go on with the economic benefits and the benefits to their kids. And best of all the transfer kids see a free ride to xcel ev...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Hermantown is ahead of the curve when it comes to how high school hockey is done in 2020. The top 20’teams in pagestat routinely each and every year all have mastered the game of open enrollment and transfers. If you want to matter during the season, post season, and after high school, this is how i...

Re: 7AA 2020-2021

Duluth East will have 7 very talented sophomores on their roster next year. I’m thinking 2extremely talented and large 8th graders, as well. Very young team next year, but I think they will be much more talented and deeper and confident then they were this year. I think any one of three teams will c...

Re: 7A - Thoughts

Would CEC even be in 7A for sure? There are already ten teams, and we've seen Hermantown, Proctor, and Duluth Marshall all go to 5A previously, and CEC is further south than all of them. Maybe CEC and DM both go to 5A, if they go down to A after next season. I guess that’s a possibility. It don’t m...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Well, first of all. I prefer girls high school hockey now over boys. Secondly, everyone on this bored thinks AA is the greatest and A is just a bunch of community cry babies that want everything elementated so they can make it to state. I’m going to throw up. More schools need to be opting down not ...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Hermantown stay in A if you want. Denfeld and Hibbing guy angry your standing in the way. Your winning and sending so many kids to D1 hockey. CEC will be there to compete with you soon instead of whining about loosing to you in A 👍. Ps. We will loose to you allot more than we win. We do that already...

So the old rinks in Virginia and Eveleth used for youth hockey venues? Wow! Those are some nice venues! It makes sense to have a new rink for The Rock Ridge Wolverines too 👍

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Close the transfer freeway and see how far you get, that is the challenge to Hermantown Hockey! I pretty much don't agree with many of your arguments, but this one hits the nail on the head. Hermantown would still be king in 7A most years, but they wouldn’t dominate AA in the regular season like th...

Stop trolling Ken. I’m just very curious what the forum thinks as far as possibilities of the section. What I’m saying is not impossible, is it? I just want a conversation on the possibilities. That’s all. I feel it's an irresponsible statement to make unless you have something material to back it ...

I can see both sides. I believe that more A sized schools should opt down, like CEC will hopefully do.

7AA 2020-2021

Andover, Duluth East, and Grand Rapids top 3 in any given order. The others fighting for table scraps. Andover has officially taken Elks spot as a big kid in this section. But, this section will be changing drastically after this season. I just am really curious who they slide in to replace CEC and ...

Yea, that would suck being thrown somewhere other than 7A. I think Marshall and Cloquet would be put in 7A. All other sections in A have 12 teams.
