Only one first round game that should be close, AL/Owatonna. NP against NU in the second round should be a great game, both Owatonna or AL will have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to beat Far. Owatonna has done this before, always peaking at the right time. AL will have some extra motivation as reg...

a/b

I forget what year it was, Dodge Co. had a B bantam team that ended up either 2nd or 3rd in state., no A bantam team. I don't recall that team being very competitive at the HS level.

Lourdes/West

The comment about the ref's from thew West/Mayo game doesn't make sense. With those sort of ref's, The more disciplined team will have an advantage. Lourdes is very disciplined, although West showed that they can be somewhat disciplined in the AL game (aside from a couple dumb plays and a VERY late ...

You throw names out on a public forum in a very harsh way. The only names I will bring up are in a positive way. The one guy is an aquaitance, even a friend. I see things very different than you, and I do know all involved, I even have worked with these kids at times. The Austin program is in shambl...

AL/OW

If Wobschall(sp?) plays, I am not sure if AL can throw up 5 or 6. I'm an AL guy so I say AL-2 Ow-1

WOW

Perhaps you see things through different glasses. Are you serious that you have Bantam eligible kids that would make D4 A Bantams look like, as you say," inferior talent"? You could not be further from reality. It is the right time of the year to be spinning things and you are doing a whal...

Austin

Dooley is playing well, but why isn't Klingfus getting some real playing time? He also can be very good, but is getting no experience. Taking the bantam eligible kids was ludicrous to say the least; TOTALLY depleted the youth ranks for what, some underachieving HS players, one who won't even touch a...

Wow, lookey here, a Little falls guy on the West/Albert Lea thread saying,"come on up North". How has LF done against these So. teams lately? Or did you not make it down to the state tourney with your Flyers?

NP-3 AL-0
Pretty good game, Miracle assessments are pretty dead-on. NP goaltender is the best I have seen in D4. When AL did put alot of pressure on, he controlled everything.

what?

Couldn't disagree more with that statement, I wish more fans would get booted. Hockey is a very adrenalinated sport, the fans feel it too. Ugly things happen when fans, coaches or players start disrespecting the authority of the ref. When adults, being the fans or coaches start going to town on the ...

Can't argue with Faribault, New Ulm plays with a ton of grit, haven't seen NP yet. AL/Owatonna split like always, have to laugh at the "overplay" statement, only 11 skaters. Owatonna has the more consistent goaltending and coach for Owatonna always has his team peaking at playoff time. Man...

patience

Get on the USHL website and take a look at who is doing their scouting. This is not a bash on them, but it shows you why some kids on certain teams or in certain areas have been seen while others haven't. There are even coaches of some '93 teams on there.

If your going to post your scores, get 'em right. New Ulm 6 Albert Lea 4.
6th goal was an empty netter. New Ulm had 0 penalties in their own house.

Not that I am aware of, it was just my attempt at humor as he took it to a WCHA verbal pretty well. Stad's has been very good this year and has been one of the best forwards on the rink in the few games I have caught.

West loses a 1 goal game on the road to a team that beat Denfeld and took I-Falls to OT, and you say they are out of it? Pretty early in the season for that.

West/Al

Tip of the hat to golferguy for a solid run down of the game. AL's D corp played very well, as did the goaltender. I personally thought that West # 7 was their best forward, he is fun to watch and never layed on the ice. West had 2 D-men, #2 and #3 that were very good all night. After watching tape ...
