Re: 2022-23 Early Departures

Heard a rumor that Reese Shaw (Gentry) was offered a spot with the NM Ice Wolves after main camp broke. I don't know how that works, but might be another Junior leaving HS early.

Blaine Steffens are transferring to Roseville? That was the rumor we kept hearing, but didn't know if true. Are you hearing something more than just chatter? Follow The Puck tweeted it, and an asst coach @ Roseville tweeted out a picture last night of the two of them with Roseville jerseys on sayin...

UPSET OF THE NIGHT Coon Rapids 5 #18 Simley 4 Simley dropped a surprising game to struggling Coon Rapids. The game was tightly contested throughout and it was the Spartans who grabbed a 4-3 lead early in the third period. However, it was Coon Rapids who would tie the game up and then win it with on...

I would be interested to know if there are any comments for feedback related to the new checking rules for Bantams and how they are being enforced. Not discussed. No 'big' problems arising from it, apparetnly. Thank you for listening for any discussion of it. I appreciate you bringing all of the in...

Re: Grading 24 teams from holiday events

This is a great recap. I think these grades pass the eye test as well (for the games that I saw).

Those top AA teams are kind of a revolving door right now - should make for a great run through the second half of the season.

Teams Making a Jump to Relevance

Question for those who have been watching the past few seasons - what teams have the potential to make a jump to "relevance" this season? Any programs that have traditionally just been a speed bump on the schedule of the top teams bringing a higher level of compete this year (or in the nex...

Probably a bit under the radar for this board, however it looks like the top scorer from Champlin Park last year is now playing with Rogers (according to Elite League rosters).

Re: Hill-Murray Update

Has any Minnesota court struck down any of the state’s executive branch orders, guidelines, directives, etc. under Walz’s emergency powers? I feel like this is the area where the legal argument runs into some difficulty. In a normal year, I would certainly expect that framing the "irreparable ...

Minnesotans in the World Junior Championships

It's the most wonderful time of the year - World Junior Championships time.
