Re: Greenway vs Mahtomedi

Didn’t get to watch many games this season, and obviously with my username, the games I do see are metro and south,so holy cow is this Greenway team impressive! Never throw pucks, they are always looking to make plays and it works majority of the time. My favorite team to watch in a long time. Such...

Re: Most Devastating Tourney Final Loss

I guess the 1969 championship game between Warroad and Edina would have to rank up there. Boucha got elbowed in the head and ended up out of the game with a broken eardrum. Then Warroad loses in OT. I played against Henry. Best player I ever played against. He probably would have won that game. I’m...

Moorhead 2005. It’s always difficult when your loss results in instant replay being implemented.

Re: 8AA playoffs

I wasn't able to make any games tonight due to a work conflict. Any reports from Roseau from either 7 or G n W? How about Brainerd? I wasn’t there either but I talked to my buddy who was in attendance. He said St. Cloud basically copied there exact game plan from last year when they beat Roseau in ...

Re: Section Hypocrisy

Again, it's good background information but it doesn't change the fact that 4 is the only section that doesn't have a neutral site for the championship game. Irrespective who was slaloming in Roseville four years ago, that doesn't make it right. There is plenty of available ice in the Twin Cities t...

A few posters have referred to UND as the Fawker's but their fans are the most unbearable ones? That's neat logic.

As someone who graduated from Bemidji State I always thought that Gopher fans were the most annoying for hockey.

It will be interesting to see how he builds his teams at the U. Does he keep building teams using the same formula he’s used at St. Cloud or does he get enticed by some of the higher skill players that would choose the Gophers over the Huskies? I guess we’ll see.

I am not sure where the fault lies as far as getting a home and home with other top teams in the section. (I would tend to say one team and not 4 but I have no idea) But really I don't even care if they just want to play other section teams once. Mostly I have a problem with how some of the coaches...

The biggest recruiters for high school or youth hockey are the kids themselves. If you really want to see fewer top kids switching programs then you should argue for less off season hockey like selects, elite league, etc so these kids don't get an opportunity to play together.

The next one to go to the finals in state at A level for 10 years in a row for starters. Just a thought but perhaps Hermantown wouldn't have made all those consecutive championship games if people didn't put pressure on every A team to opt up whenever they enjoy a modicum of success at that level. ...

From what I have heard, STMA's new rink is scheduled to break ground in August and will be open for the start of the 2018-19 season. I agree with you that there should never be a semi-final game played in that rink ever! It's a joke for HS hockey period. It's one of the many reasons why the hockey ...
