Re: Biondi gone?
Can you inform me about the fans that " put up the suite for Greenway""? What was that all about? Greenway's Donte Lawson has a brother that very recently received a kidney transplant. Doctors told the family that if the brother were to attend the tournament, a suite situation would ...

Re: Biondi gone?
This Hermantown puckster is total class just like Coach Andrews. And those Hermantown fans that put up that suite for Greenway. It seems like the AD is a bad seed in the middle of all the fine folks in Hermantown. Can you inform me about the fans that " put up the suite for Greenway""...

Re: No Montage Video
This was the second or third year since they've done one. I know the guy who assembled it each year. It became a budgetary issue (it wasn't cheap to produce). On a whole, the quality of the broadcast is NHL-like, we shouldn't complain. Really? How expensive can it be? Its just clips from the tourna...

Re: 2019 Minnesota State High School All Hockey Hair Team
I would guess someone will try to keep this going in some fashion. Maybe Ch. 45, maybe someone else. Maybe multiple folks. In fact, it's already started. Thursday, NHL.com posted this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ihtoEpbhIs I will miss his subtle nicknames to the hairstyles and his dry deliver...

Re: All Time All Tournament Team
McDonagh Is definitely the name that stuck out to me as well. Crowley seems to be a better fit. If they wanted a career award, at least Housley played in 2 tourneys, and played so well in it as a junior that the greatest NHL coach of all time watched it and drafted him 6th overall. ....and Housley ...

Re: Duluth East at Andover, Section 7AA Final
At risk of getting hockeyDJ going again, but did anyone hear the Elk River guy call into KFAN to ask Lou Nanne about if it was fair that the section final is at Amsoil when East keeps winning? Louie’s answer was basically that home ice isn’t that much of an advantage in hockey, but did mention that...

Re: An all-time all-tournament team
Some are easy to name, some a bit more obscure. Easy: Tim Sheehy Neal Broten John Mayasich Johnny Pohl Williard Ikola Mike Anonovich Phil Housley Jamie Langnebrunner Dave Spehar Excellent list. I would add Henry Boucha. Only one tournament, but iconic. Plus, you need another defenseman (which he pl...

Re: AA state tourney seeding
My understanding is there isn’t a coaches call for the State Tourney. That they just submit votes. In Section 8 the coaches seeding votes are made public. Are the State Tourney votes public. Would just be interesting to see how it played out. The StarTrib/Hub has an article online about the seeding...

Re: Duluth East at Andover, Section 7AA Final
Ricky Lyle. I love this kid. What are the realities for this 218 puckster post high school? NAHL, maybe the Wilderness, or Fairbanks, I seem to recall he played a couple games for them last fall. It's the Magicians. He's tendered there. I think he's going after the high school season ends.

Re: Monday, 2/4 Duluth East at Cloquet
Not to mention that Duluth's arenas in the section playoffs aren't in Andover's head. Like some teams.  I would consider it a fairly big upset for East to come out of 7AA this years. Lee Me too...but they’ve done it before. I simply think the northern 7AA teams have went to the w...

is it that BB is a true generational prospect, so gifted and without flaw that is deemed able to bypass senior year, zero USHL/junior exposure/experience and jump to big-time D1 hockey? Re: Is Greenway turning into Hermantown?
Anybody hear from a source that Smalley is interested in Wilderness head coaching job? It does make sense, I guess. No, they will hire someone with NAHL experience which neither Smalley or Essy have, look for an experienced hire here. Your Jacks look loaded hoping Smalls shows them the way! Madsen'...

Looks like Ville will not be back for Greenway. Visa problem. That puts Hermantown in the driver’s seat. Hermantown ‘s depth of 4 quality lines and 6 D and elite league goalie. They would be in the drivers seat in 7AA as well along with Duluth East. When was a Hermantown goalie named to the Elite L...
