Far. 3 - AL 0. Teske with a nice, hardworking unassisted goal for Far.'s 2nd goal. Looked like it took the wind out of AL's sail's. That kid is a very good player. AL played very hard for having a 9 man bench.

I am surprised that more of you hockey fan's don't spend the $100 buck's for the Center Ice package. Hockey every night and the international stuff too. Best part of the international telecast's is it is a TSN feed. TSN does hockey right! My thought's; great game, I didn't think either team outplaye...

Far. has some very talented player's, Teske being VERY good, and they controlled much of the play. AL played a very disciplined d-zone, goaltender saw the shot's and there were very few rebound's. Shot's were very lopsided in Far.'s favor, but scoring opportunities were much closer, about 6-4. Far. ...

Didn't 21 transfer to the Cadet's? Sure seemed to be in the way quite a bit out there. Didn't they have enough depth going into the season?

OU812, These Far. kid's are getting a little silly on here. You guy's just keep doing what you are doing and let time tell what happen's. You have a great season going for you. The bottom line is that whichever team's goaltender play's the best in the dist. tourney will win, that's the way it alway'...

This is an interesting team. They were very competitive in the dist. tourney last year, having tight losses to Kato and AL and if I remember right, beating Far.. What sparked this turn on? They have beat Kato twice, and beat NU pretty handily. Any insight?

Superior?
I don't know how you Northerner's feel about crossing the border, but watching Superior play last weekend impressed me. They have a line composed of triplet's that sure are fun to watch! Any scores with No. MN team's?

parity
I would agree that D4 is down talent-wise from last year, however there does seem to be more parity.I haven't seen Far. or NP, but judging by like games, there doesn't seem to be much difference between about 5 or 6 teams. Don't rule out AL yet. They have split with Mankato, 4-3 loss and a 3-0 win, ...

NU vs AL
New Ulm had some co-op player's in the Prep Bowl that had not sen any ice time yet. A decision was made to re-schedule the game for later in Dec. (15th I think).

Can't argue with that one at the bantam level. I hear he's a pretty good softball player also.

Number's
Here you go again bashing away. You don't think number's play a role in the success of a youth hockey program? Look at the top program's year in and year out. They have more athlete's to pick from. With very few exception's, it is alway's the huge program's on top. Good for them, I have no problem o...

That is as good a field as you could get, should be a good pre-view of the top 10 ranking's. Post scores as you get them. I am interested to see how Roch. fares as they have gone to one A team to compete with these other powerhouses.

wtbearlk1111, I would agree with you wholeheartidly on that. The top 10 B team's in the state come from program's with outstanding number's. Like I said, unless you only want 12 or 15 A team's in the entire state then it is what it is.

Same 'ol, same 'ol
Read my post clearly. Top 12, no way. Up to 25, definitly. AL compete's very well from top 12 on down. Orono last year moved up and down but easily were a top 8 team. Just on Sun. the AL PW's beat Farmington 5-2. Not a top 15 team but an A team none the less.

wtbearlk1111, I am guessing you are from WBL, and no, Austin, AL and Owatonna are not going to beat WBL's A team's. You are wrong in your premise though that they shouldn't have A team's as year in and year out AL and Owatonna (and Austin until a couple year's ago) compete very well with top 25 team...

Goldy, You are accurate on many count's, except the dist. change for Roch. The proposed dist. line-up went no futher West than Albert Lea (50 min. away), and the competition is better than you give it credit for.

NP should ride the wave this year and if all goes well could represent Dist. 4 very well in the new regional format. Very deep at forward and some pretty good D to boot. Goaltending will be a bit suspect, but the tender's should get some very good work in practices. A huge plus will be coaching. I d...

D4 Southern Mn
If I am not mistaking, some of the district's up North play 17 min. period's in bantam's, which makes sense with the long travel times; longer game times. D4 is similar with some very long travel's, yet will only play 36 min. league games. Some of the suspicion thrown on So. Mn hockey could very wel...
