From what I learned around the rink this summer ... Grand Rapids: lowest year in a while. But considering how just absolutely great they've been the last 2-3 years at Bantam level, that's to be expected. Duluth East: I don't know much about this, but I've seen their V, JV, and BEL teams this summer ...

Yeah, I thought it was pretty asinine when that guy suggested Cloquet go down to A, specifically for two reasons: 1. Both the Pee Wee and Bantam teams last season were top 10 in AA. By "done for" I meant only the next 2-3 years in regards to state ambitions. By no means did I intend to imply the program is dead and should be buried.

I agree with Sats on this one. If a kid doesn't make the final 54 or even his section team it's just not that important. Getting cut from the section team might have been the best motivation my son ever had during youth hockey. Can the process be infuriating? Absolutely , but if a kid can play they...
