And I see where Hutchinson beat Marshall 3-1 in Marshall tonight, so yeah, Hutch should be ranked higher in 3A seeding.
Looks like Marshall plays Willmar twice, Jan 28 and Feb 4, both times in Willmar? That doesn't make sense.

1. New Ulm 2. Litchfield 3. Hutchinson 4. Willmar 5. Marshall 6. Luverne 7. Redwood Valley 8. Windom 9. Worthington Oh yeah?! (Trying to generate an argument to heat up this forum.) Well, I forgot about Litchfield, of course. But Marshall could and will beat Willmar if they play this season, so ......

Re: The Argy Bargy 3A Thread 2019-2020
Well now, New Ulm knocked off Marshall in Marshall, and Hutch have had a fine start to the season. So, this is how I think 3A looks ranking-wise this early in the season. 1. New Ulm 2. Hutchinson 3. Marshall 4 - Whatever Since Marshall had a great run last season, only to be beaten by Hutch in the s...

If he attended Eden Prairie for last spring's semester I don't see why he wouldn't be eligible for this season.
But, I am ignorant by choice.

Looks like White Bear Lake knocked off Duluth East on a sole goal, 1-0. WBL. 5 East. 0 White Bears top Lind of Roed, Newpower, and Schauer had 4 of the 5 goals. Roed was really good. Was 1-0 going into the 3rd. Steffens solid in goal. Good hockey game. Physical. Okay. I guess what I reported was th...

Mound Westonka is headed to Marshall this week for the Thanksgiving Tourney at the Red Baron Arena. The other three squads are the "usual suspects" from past years -Marshall (of course, host), Fargo Davies (undefeated at tourney), and Pine City. Games are: Friday 5 p.m. Davies - Mound West...

I wish I could, but I was just reminded by the kid to not post anything...after his Jr team shellacked the opposition again for a 9-1 record during the games he has played with them...great team, great coach, in the end, it's a blessing. “Good things” for you and your boy this year. And then MN hockey hub went and published this article about Eden Prairie. https://www.mnhockeyhub.com/news_article/show/1066357 Making room for three new players meant varsity cuts, which Smith called annually “gut wrenching” and more difficult this year. “We try to be as loyal as we can,” he said....

Re: Final Cuts
With so few high school players moving on to the next levels (Jr, D1, Pros), nearly everyone will have to stop playing competitively some time, eh? It might be best to cut your losses now rather than later. If someone isn't the superstar who would never get cut from any high school squad, then what...

Yeah, that Worthington win over Redwood Valley is nice to see. It wasn't that long ago that Worthington, long the doormat of SW hockey, could barely field a squad. I remember seeing them play with only 3 or 4 subs (skaters) on the bench. That lead to blowouts in the third period as those 8 or 9 skat...

3A hockey is mostly down in the south and southwest corner of the state.
The history of 3A began when the state went to two tiers: AA and A. Before that it was only 3 hockey.

I talked with the father of a Marshall player and it looks like Caspers will play with his buddies in Marshall this season. Good news. Also, both Welvaert and Caspers played in the Elite League this fall which is a first for any Marshall player, I believe. First game is away to Albert Lea on Friday,...

Yeah, video shows that no Marshall player was near net so it could only come off its moorings by the Hutch goalie nudging it. Goal should have been allowed. *Yawn*, never mind. Hutch will beat New Ulm to go to state. They will face Hermantown in round 1. The Chickenhawks will take Hutch into running...

Hutch better leave now for this unprecedented journey they're about to embark on. This will undoubtedly require not only 1 bus, but a spare bus also, in case the first one isn't prepared for the distance. Every precaution must be taken, scheduled multi hour/day stops in New Ulm, St James, Windom an...

Schwan cup is changing names next year. Saw signs that it will be called something with Herb Brooks in the name. Heard that Schwan's got bought up by some Chinese company. Perhaps Schwan's will no longer be affiliated with the tournament. South Korean company CJ CheilJedang bought 80% of the Schwan...

That is a good win for Marshall. They will play Simley on Monday, who knocked off Henry Sibley 2-1 on Saturday.
I would move them up to #35 in the A rankings after that win.
