10 of our dads will be back

Seriously, I watched your squad for part of a game. Good team and hope kids develop and make a run at it next year.

What do I think? They had a fun group of moms at the hotel bar. If the parents have fun at Fargo, the team will do well. So, Rosemount better hope they have some of those returning moms to help lead the squad.

If 97 Fire were in the tournament.. lets just say tournament started last night. I was told the 97 Fire lost to Wayzata 5-0 last night, so end of conversation. I've been to this tournament for four years and its the best thing going for Squirts. Quit bashing this tournament.

DMOM, yes. However you need a great coach to do the organizing...finding fields that aren't being used by associations as well as sending the paper work to get the kids into some weekend tournaments.

I do know of one example of this happening this year.

Pitlick and Walker. The other two are good I've seen both of them play as well, but I wouldn't put them in the same category as Pitlick and Walker.

Refs should only make in the crease call if a goal is scored and the guy is in the crease...no goal, or if physical contact on goalie while in the crease occurs. Goalies don't mind if a guy is in the crease....because if they score it won't count. I have talked to many refs who don't call guys in th...

Not in Wayzata, two state tournament appearances in the last 55 plus years. Incredible. Yes, people will say they are supporting Benilde, Blake, Breck, Providence, Totino Grace....still, pretty pathetic, just an excuse. I do feel there will be a change starting in the next two years based on many ch...

Watchdog, how are the Roseau Peewees doing? It was enjoyable watching them play at Fargo as squirts last year. How many first years on the Peewee A team? I think I remember you saying that the Peewees started out slow, maybe a little disappointing in Nov/Dec but that you would be curious to see how ...

Wayzata was the better team. EP won 2-1. I hate when after someone loses they are proclaimed the better team. Patriots are the better team....not when it counts. Congrats EP, you are the better team on Feb 3rd and no one can tell you that you aren't the best team at the Whitebear Tourney.

Squirts play kids even at all levels and all goalies play every other game. Exception: Fargo tournament (Semi finals or Finals maybe shorten bench one or two shifts max or play best goalie. Goalie shouldn't play three games in a row). In addition, All squirts should rotate positions--each player pla...

IRH55, Yea, you are right, some/most want to win very bad at squirt level and that is reality. It takes a good coach/program to get away from this mentality. Those coaches that are developing the kids for the sake of a few losses, I applaud them.

Do you kick a field goal or go for it on 4th down with a 40 point lead?..no right answer other than to not post the score and tell the world.

Will BB make him better hockey player...maybe, can't hurt. Will he maybe want to play for John Anderson instead of Lucia...maybe should leave that option open. You can play both. I watched a little of the Bloomington Tourney. I was suprised to see EP played one goalie back to back...he may have played all the games but I don't know. That's pretty pathetic if they did play one goalie more than the other. It's squirts! Squirts should rotate goalies if you have two. I'm pretty ...

Those numbers for squirts, its obvious they should have gone with two Squirt A teams. The trickle down impact to the Squirt B's wouldn't have been that drastic. I wouldn't have a problem with the two squirt A teams being unbalanced. 1-15 can win it all and 16-30 can develop the kids at practice and ...

I think the hardest shot to stop is a one on one when a guy is moving left to right top of circle and he shoots to the left, across his body a low hard shot on the ice, that gets through the defensemen. The goalie is moving to his left and usually freezes when the the shot is going to his right....w...

I agree with scout master, rankings are quite silly. I think its pretty obvious this year that there are 5-6 peewee teams that can beat anyone on any given date. We all know who these teams are, it will be interesting in late February when the games are decided on the ice. That being said, this is a...

54Fighting. I agree with your comments. Give kids options and let them compete, heck its just one of many tournaments for 11-15 year olds, not the Stanley Cup. 95 Fire provided great competition to the teams in the Edina Tournament.

Counselor, yes the parents requested, but I'm pretty sure the player was consulted first on whether he wanted to. I believe it was a mutual decision....kid and parent wanted to.

He played up last year...could have played squirts but chose to play on a great Apple Valley peewee team. He is a summer birthday. He also requested to play up with Bantams this year but the Apple Valley board refused the request.
