Urban, all season you have belittled the underclassmen's choice to not play B level youth hockey. I checked Hockey Hub and found that the younger guys did perform well against some of the better teams. Now you said teams, so I am guessing you mean more than Holy Angels, and even in one of those game...

Mouthgaurd penalty doesn't count as 10 mn. toward FP points unless something has changed, so a mistake was made and should be brought up to the district stats guy.

Kids leave for midget and junior teams all the time and live with complete strangers, this one gets to live with his sister. 99% of these situations turn out fine.

The kid has 14 points, call it what you want. It probably was a good move based solely on the fact that it gave him an automatic into Elite I. He never would have had a tryout if he had stayed in Red Wing.

Jockstrap? Kind of funny you get ticked. #4 on Edina? Was never scouted for D1 prior to this year. Daddy's money doesn't get you on NCAA D1 teams. My banter has been with Master Recruiter blowing smoke about players being "watched" by D1 guys. I have 0 problems with Jr. Gold, it is hockey,...

Mr. Bettman, I read your post where you talk about teams being able to knock off teams at certain times, then throw in your tirade about Luverne ans how Marshall is clearly way better. I then cruise to Hockey Hub and see that Marshall wins 4 to 3, it was 3-2 after 2, shots were 22 to 20. Looks like ...

That link is to Holy Cross in Indiana, an ACHA club D3 team. Don't get me wrong, that is great for the kid and I gaurantee you he is having the time of his life playing. My question is still in regards to Master Recruiter claiming that kids are being scouted by NCAA D1 schools.

Not seeing anyone by that name on Holy Cross' roster. Perhaps red shirting or maybe a JV team, I just don't see his name on their official roster. Who is #6 on EP?

That was the name I remember, he was a very strong, tough kid. I think the school you are referring to is a club D3 school.

Names and college they are playing at. I do remember a Lakeville kid a few years ago that got into some trouble that was a very tough player, would have been a very good HS player.

If you are talking about Andrew Alberts, you are correct. After getting cut from his HS team as a soph., he played a year of JGB, but then transferred to BSM and played HS hockey his Jr. and Sr. years. Great story, we are lucky to have many avenues to play hockey. I don't think he was recruited out ...

Master Recruiter, please give me 1 name of a JG player that is playing college hockey, D1 or D3. Not bashing JG, just questioning your posts.

Century will be fine this year. I didn't know what to expect with their 3 departures, after watching I am very impressed. They are huge, and I am seeing kids who developed a little later. AL tried to get into a physical match up with them (borderline cheap), big mistake as Century won't get pushed a...

urban iceman, don't act like you don't know what is going on in NP, it is all a big family affair and that name has been hurting that program for a few years now. Looks like a power struggle went on and the bantams took a hit. Question: how many Witts does it take to coach a team and sit on a board?

Others to consider, Stolt, Helgeson, Adams, Dokken, Vessel, Head, Mundy, and I am sure others. No Parker, he's playing Midgets in Kansas City. No clearcut favorite team but give Lourdes the early shout, they won it last year with a very young team.

Wagoner is ineligible due to transfer rules, he was enrolled in KC while with Stover and now down in Omaha. I have no idea what you are talking about being deemed a "higher" league. Without changing schools, a player could do a before and after with a USHL team, now THAT would be considere...

Faribault will be good. Lipinski, Helgeson and Teske would be top players on every Big9 team, with about 6 other very good players. My pre-season pick for #1.

The former Marshall goalie at SSM is on the lowest of the midget teams, AA. Not a bad goalie at all, just clarifying.

Second year in a row that nobody South of Lakeville is on a roster. I am pretty sure that the last 2 forwards from that geographic area, Skyler Adams from New Prague and Cory Leiverman from Mankato West were both second in points both 3 and 4 years ago.
